Surprisingly traffic at the causeway during this school holiday, other than the morning and evening peak hours, is not as heavy as in the past where long jams on both directions would be a normal affair from morning till evening. The higher toll seems to have put off many SG and MY drivers/parents from driving over for school holidays.

Think so

RON97 is now selling at RM.2.55/Lt.

By Sunday mid-night at 00:00 hrs. 1st. Dec.2014. I guess they'll revise RON95 slightly downward from RM.2.30 to maybe RM.2.00 to balance off the two different petroleum grades.

I will awaits to fill my cars full tank by next Monday morning to take the chance of betting with them.

Actually its still early to tell now, cos its just starting of school holidays, and Malaysia start theirs only this week.

It should be the month of Dec then we can fully see the impact it has... cos then most people will take leave and so on...

Slash fuel prices or we march, Pakatan warns Putrajaya

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 27 — Pakatan Rakyat (PR) will take to the streets if the government does not bring down the price of the RON95 petrol by 30 sen per litre to an estimated RM1.90, lawmakers from the federal opposition pact said today.

PKR MP Rafizi Ramli insisted again today that the new managed float system to be adopted by Putrajaya for RON95 and diesel beginning December 1 still guarantees profits to oil companies and petrol dealers of up to 30 sen per litre.

“This is the most unfair aspect; the fact that the government will guarantee the cost, and reimburse petrol companies,” said the Pandan MP.

“If you give RM7.2 billion in guaranteed cost and reimbursements, it is only fair to give the rakyat the same,” he told reporters in Parliament, together with Seremban DAP MP Anthony Loke and Kuala Krai PAS MP Dr Mohd Hatta Ramli.

The pump prices for RON95 petrol and diesel increased by 20 sen in October to RM2.30 and RM2.20 a litre respectively after fuel subsidies were cut.

Putrajaya removed all fuel subsidies will revert to a managed float system to determine the price of RON95 and diesel on December 1.

RON95 price likely to fall by 3-4 sen a litre, says minister – Bernama

The price of RON95 is expected to drop between three and four sen from the current price beginning December 1, according to the global crude oil price trend since November 1.

Secretary-General of Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Datuk Seri Alias Ahmad said crude oil prices were falling and the recent three-day increase would not affect the average price for November.

"I did not say it would fall, but if we follow the trend, it would. We have seen between three and four sen fall in the pump price now," he said, when asked whether the price of RON95 would fall on December 1.

Last week, Minister of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Datuk Seri Hasan Malek said the retail prices for RON95 petrol and diesel would be fixed according to a managed float system beginning December 1.

The retail price of RON95 petrol is RM2.30 a litre and diesel RM2.20 a litre.

Alias said US-based Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) expected crude oil prices to trend downwards until next year.

"The EIU projection takes into consideration the development in the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, the Brent and US West Texas Intermediate contracts," he said. – Bernama, November 27, 2014.

No report yet whether the ban on foreign cars filling RON 95 would be lifted since subsidy would be removed Dec 1.

they have enough trouble already, this should be the last thing on their mind.
