People with 1:3 exchange rate mentality will usually tend to overspend as the perception of things are much cheaper across the border and will just buy even if they don't need it. Buyers also need to beware that things maybe same same but in reality its different.

Yes, I buy my father medication same brand same packaging for only S$25. Here the GP sell to my father for S$70!

 

My Asthma medication here S$70 for 60 doses, there S$45 for 120 doses...exact same thing. At least I haven’t die yet.

 

Americans cross the border to canada for the same thing.

long weekend so money changer will also factor that into the exchange rate too.

 

usually weekends and holiday eves are not good times to change money.

YouTrip has better rate  @ 3.05

 

 

yes, unless you are already there using the card and enjoy the better rate, too bad cannot change and keep in the card.

 Have to take the spread into consideration mah. Not all exchange broker give the same rate anw.

These are the RM exchange rates for today at various $$ changers.  The one at Yishun (North Point) is the best, it is even better than the rate given by YouTrip @ 3.045.
