TIA again.. anything not Original is against the Rule and regulations in Singapore But LTA has given some room for after market replacement But is has to be International certified. your tyre size is fine for this case ,but the rim ( 7.5 to 8.5) optimum is 8inch. Offset is more flush with those ard 30?. is correct. under the Guide line your tyre shouldn't protrude out your fender, otherwise you will be FINE or Fail inspection

tiresonline Neutral Newbie June 6, 2017 Share June 6, 2017 I completely agree with you, tires are the only element between road and your vehicle, so compromising on this factor is not a good idea. One should make a regular check on their tires; it is must for the safety purpose. Apart from that you can easily save some extra amount if you regularly check your tires. Yymail22 2nd Gear March 16, 2018 Share March 16, 2018 Hi. It was when my car was parked with front wheels steered to max that I discovered the inner edge of both tyres have severely worn. Is this the result of front wheels not properly toed-in or -out (alignment)? Or due to damaged part(s) of suspension/wheel assembly etc? Appreciate your advice/opinion/input. Is this the result of front wheels not properly toed-in or -out (alignment)? Or due to damaged part(s) of suspension/wheel assembly etc? Appreciate your advice/opinion/input. Looks like it's toe out. Anyway your tyres need replacement. The groove depth is almost flush with the depth indicator. Probably, after you replaced with new tyres, go for alignment also. If they are different shops, show this pic to the alignment shop.

Yymail22 2nd Gear March 17, 2018 Share March 17, 2018 Thank you to all who have advised. I personally think it is mis-alignment because the wear is uniform and occur at both front tires. If it is suspension system, the wear would have been uneven all around the surface. As for joint worn out, I have no clue how it will affect the (type of) wear. Any recommendation on specialists doing wheel alignment? Thank you again for your input.

Thank you again for your input. just to further share my views Suspension system failure can not just caused uneven wear all round but also wearing on 1 side particularly inner part of your tire due to worn suspension mounting etc Worn joint like can also caused such problem because of loose joint became toe out which can not corrected by Alignment job. An workshop expert will able to tell you more when your car is with him

I am also wondering: if the suspension on one side is at fault, will it cause both front wheels to have similar and same degree of wear (on the inner edge)? I am also wondering: if the suspension on one side is at fault, will it cause both front wheels to have similar and same degree of wear (on the inner edge)? Suspension fail on one side means either the arms broke or shock absorbers leaked with no pressure. tyres wears depends on which components broke down ↡ Advertisement
