When you're going at that kinda speed in NSHW(or everywhere else), don't concentrate on the car directly in front. Concentrate 2 or 3 cars ahead (or the empty road space). And use your peripheral vision to see the brake lights of the car you're following.

 

That way, you have more time to react if you see anything.

not just that speed on NSHW. it should be a practice to be done every time you are behind wheels irregardless of speed.
