  2. TL:DR – A Malaysian woman buys a Lamborghini for her husband because ‘his life will be confined after she gives birth’ I’ve heard of ‘push presents’ before. It’s when a man gives a gift to his pregnant wife to push the baby out and endure the pains of labor. But this is totally something new. Credits to TnP Straits Times What sorcery is this? This lady spends RM2,000,000 (~$650,000 SGD) on a Lamborghini when she’s the one doing all the work. Consider me shooketh. What can you do with that money? Here’s some things she could have done with the money. Hire a confinement nanny (for life) Buy an unlimited supply of diapers, milk, and baby clothes Insurance for the baby paid in full till they become an adult Childcare services for 100 or more babies I exaggerate a little of course. OR DO I? Writer's note: Not a sponsored ad. I just heard my friends say it's a good brand. That’s 41,000 packs of diapers. Each pack has about 100 to 120 diapers. That’s 4,100,000 diapers in total. It must be nice being rich. Online Chatter Wah I laughed out loud. Thank goodness I took MC on the day of this training. Think this person is speaking from personal experience. 3. (Bloomberg) -- Sales of luxury cars in Singapore remain resilient despite the economic fallout from the coronavirus pandemic, the Business Times reported Friday, citing data from the Land Transport Authority and automakers. Six luxury brands — Aston Martin Holdings, Bentley Motors Ltd., Ferrari NV, Automobili Lamborghini SPA, McLaren Automotive Ltd. and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd. — sold a total of 178 cars in the first nine months of 2020 versus 256 units for all of last year, according to the report. After adjusting for Singapore’s partial lockdown, the companies sold about 30 cars a month, up from 21 a month in 2019, the BT said. Still, registrations for the high-end car market are a lagging indicator as orders can be made far in advance of delivery, so data may not always accurately reflect a brand’s current performance, the report said. “Sales have been picking up since reopening and we attribute that to customer confidence coming back,” Bentley’s director for the Asia-Pacific region, Bernd Pichler, told the newspaper. Chong Kah Wei, a general manager at McLaren Singapore, said customer orders continued to accumulate. https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/news/ferrari-and-bentley-find-buyers-in-singapore-despite-the-pandemic-024059177.html

  5. Last weekend saw the tragic accident of a BMW driver who was flung out of his E92 3 Series convertible along PIE. Condolences to the poor soul who did not survive the crash. Last weekend also saw the not-so-tragic accident of two Lamborghini Aventadors crashing into each other along Sembawang Road on 7 June. The photos of the 2 lamborghinis which crashed into each other went viral among local car clubs with SG Road Vigilante further furnishing us with the video shown here. According to the SGRV's post, the owners of the Aventadors removed their number plates promptly after the accident but its members could spot the similar black bonnet, black strip , white brake caliper and etc. that was similar to another yellow Lamborghini Aventador which was caught driving recklessly at Newton. Check out what netizens have to say about this double crash! Is this a case of 'you get what you deserve'? Or do you guys think the crash is a loss to our local car scene?

  7. And we thought only in China, but in Brazil too! (I am referring to clever builders) Maybe if they had replace the "bo" in Lamborghini with "pa" they would not be arrested. https://www.scmp.com/news/world/americas/article/3018907/busted-inside-fake-ferrari-factory-sold-shamborghinis-us45000 Busted: inside the fake Ferrari factory that sold ‘Shamborghinis’ for US$45,000Police said the cars were being offered on social media for a small fraction of the price of the real thing Associated Press Published: 9:13am, 17 Jul, 2019 3 Brazilian police dismantled the clandestine workshop run by a father and son who assembled fake Ferraris and Lamborghinis to order. 15. The Lamborghini Huracán has already obtained 700 orders during a, as yet unfinished, month-long private preview tour worldwide for VIP clients. An excellent start for the heir to the best selling Lamborghini to date, the Gallardo. The Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 is powered by a 610-horsepower 5.2-litre normally-aspirated V10 engine, which allows it to reach a top speed of 325 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, placing it at the top of its segment. A candidate for 'star of the show' at Geneva Motor Show, it will be the first vehicle to be revealed at the exhibition, during a press conference given by President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann, scheduled for 8 a.m. on Tuesday March 4th, 2014. The presentation will contain innovative elements -- not just the video of the supercar shot over the last few days in Los Angeles, but also the reveal.
  16. Madness cool. Need it on Gran turismo 6... DMC has released some brand new images with the impressive LP988 Edizione GT package for the Lamborghini Aventador. After it was teased just a week ago, the Lamborghini Aventador LP988 Edizione GT, signed by DMC, is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the tuning company releasing more images with the supercar. The model in question has received some Veneno inspired body kit, which is made out of completely redesigned front and rear bumpers, a vented aerodynamic hood, some carbon fiber body parts, a massive rear wing and some other tweaks. DMC says that the asking price for the body kit stands at 89,990 USD. The Lamborghini Aventador LP988 Edizione GT has also received some engine upgrades which remain unknown for the moment but we do know that the 6.5 liter V12 engine found under its hood can produce, from the standard 700 HP (515 kW), a total output of 988 HP (726 kW). The asking price for this power hike stands at 134,530 USD, so if you’re looking for the entire kit, you should pay a total of 288,888 USD. There are also other improvements worth 64,368 USD, which the tuner will detail in the future, so if you want this upgrade kit, you should pay almost the price of a brand new supercar.
  17. Woman says Lambo drivers like her need 2 parking lots to protect their 'exotic million dollar cars' Posted on 28 October 2013 Miss L, a Lamborghini driver, has come forward to explain why drivers of exotic cars tend to take more than their fair share of parking lots in public carparks. According to her, drivers of exotic cars tend to have their cars damaged by other motorists, so this is their way of avoiding scratches and bumps. She wrote: "On behalf of my brothers and sisters out there who also drive Lamborghinis, I would like to apologise for what others may consider inconsiderate, occupying two parking lots. "The other lambo drivers may feel that it is a waste of time explaining ourselves here, or don't care what others think, or that we are the minority driving an exotic million dollar car, or even that we know what's best for our cars and others do not need to know. "These are the reactions I've got from my friends when I told them about explaining to the public on STOMP. "Yes, we know it is a very selfish act, but in public carparks everyone knows you get all sort of drivers. "Some but not all are irresponsible drivers who park beside our cars, and when opening their doors and getting down from their vehicles, they carelessly knock onto our cars, leaving dents, scratches and unsightly marks. "By parking in two lots we prevent any vehicles parking beside our cars. "I strongly believe that no matter what car or vehicle you are driving, you should be gracious when opening your vehicle's door, ensuring that you do not knock into someone else's vehicle, no matter what car or vehicle he drives. "I used to park in only one lot, but there was this incident that made me into a selfish driver too. "Basically my windows are pretty tinted, and after parking my car, I was putting on some of my makeup, with the engine off. "This other vehicle who just parked beside me, he probably did not know I was still in the car, and when he open the door, he basically slammed his door onto my car, leaving a dent and unsightly scratches on my car. "FYI, the parking gap between our cars is approximately 60 to 70cm. "When I got down from my car to confront him, he was very shocked, as I think he did not know there was someone in the car. And he was very defensive with his words, was hot-tempered, and he was pretty arrogant, saying that it was just small damage, and that I should just charge the bill to him. "I don't understand what got into him, but he went on to kick my car, and landed one of his fists onto the bonnet of my car. "Whether you believe me or not, I was calm, and kept telling him to calm down. "I did not retaliate to any of his harsh language. I'm a lady driver, so probably he was aggressive towards me? If I was a man, I'm not sure if he would do the same? I was in shock, as It was pretty frightening, when a uncle keep shouting at me ,"driving Lambo so what?" "You think you very rich ah?" "Who you think you are?!", and a whole lot of vulgarities. "Thank God a security officer was nearby and came over to help me. "To cut the story short, now in addition to the car damage, he also threatened me. So on top of the car damage, he has a lawyer letter as well. His family, called me to drop the suit, as they were salaried workers and did not have the money to get into these sorts of law suit. "The uncle also apologized to me personally, saying that he had lost a lot of money on gambling, and was in a very bad mood that day. "I've dropped the law suit, and as for the car damage, I did not take a single cent from them. "They were not in the best of shape to pay for the damage. "This is only MY part of my story, there are lots of stories out there from other Lambo drivers on why we became very selfish drivers. "I will not disagree that our cars, are our babies/wives, very expensive ones, that we have to take very good care of. "We also hope that the public will be gracious to our babies as well. "This also explains why as much as possible we love to park outside hotel lobbies. Although we are not staying in them, we don't mind paying extra to park there. "It is not what most people who think that we are trying to show off parking outside hotel lobbies. "Two main reasons, 1) someone will be there to keep a lookout on our car 2) we can have a personal/private parking space, and WILL NOT NEED to take up two parking lots in the public car parks. "3) Some carparks are too narrow or have humps/slopes that are designed too high, and we cannot enter without damaging the bottom of our cars. "So to conclude, to save all these trouble, money and time for both parties (myself and the uncle), we rather be labelled as selfish freaks, yaya papaya selfish freaks... "Hope you guys in future, will think twice before criticizing us. "But of course we can't stop what others say, but before you Stomp our cars, kindly take a nicer photo of our babies. "Have a great week! "Yours Sincerely, Miss L" Miss L's comments are in reference to STOMPer KC's article about a Lamborghini driver who had taken up two parking lots. KC feels it was very inconsiderate of the driver to do so. Said the STOMPer: "It was very inconsiderate of this driver to occupy two parking lots. "Trying to attract attention?"
  18. Woman says Lambo drivers like her need two parking lots to protect their 'exotic million dollar cars'. Isn't this ridiculous? What do you think? http://ride.asiaone.com/news/general/story/woman-says-lambo-drivers-her-need-2-parking-lots-protect-their-exotic-million
  19. We came across a video recently, showing how Emilia Palmer, an eight-year old from Kimbolton, Herefordshire in England's West Midlands, got her wish to get a ride in a pink Lamborghini fulfilled. Emilia suffers from a rare lung illness, requiring her to constantly be on oxygen. She made a request through Rays of Sunshine, which is like the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and within days of receiving Emilia's wish, they found someone willing to donate a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster. The owner also allowed the charity to get super car resprayed in an eye-searing, matte pink. The hot pink bull was piloted none other than Top Gear's very own Richard Hammond, who dropped by at Emilia's home for a surprise. Now, if you'll excuse us, we need to get all this 'dust' out of our eyes. Watch the video below. http://vimeo.com/76676900 Photo Credits: The Supercar Kids
  20. If you're a fan of the Italian supercar brand Lamborghini, well, I believe you must have heard of the Urus, the SUV the Italian automaker is planning to build by 2016. It looks aggressive and attractive. However, you aren't likely to get your hands on one, at least not until 2016 at the earliest, even if you have the amount of money it demands, which is US$200,000 (approximately S$251,000). But worry not as the Italian automaker's parent company, Volkswagen (VW) has already given the green light for the mass production of the model. At least, that was stated by Rupert Stadler, Chairman of Audi AG, during the gala dinner of the Grande Giro 50th anniversary tour. For those who don't know, the Grande Giro was Lamborghini's celebration of its 50th anniversary which took place just recently. Nevertheless, if you don't think you can wait any longer, a Chinese automaker known as the Sichuan Yema - which means 'Mustang' - may have an interesting offer. The Chinese company is building an SUV with inspiration from the Lamborghini Urus. It seems that the Chinese version of the SUV may be using a platform similar to that of the Austin Rover Maestro. Two years ago, the company, based in Chengdu, South West China, made a purchase on the platform of the Austin Rover Maestro. Then, not long afterwards, the company began using the platform for its production models. However, since it isn't the actual Lamborghini Urus, I would suggest that you do not expect 100 percent similarity between the Chinese and the actual Italian version of the Urus SUV. Well, it isn't that the Chinese one is totally ugly. Looking at the sides, the sloping roof, and also the rear quarters, it does remind me of the actual Urus. However, the headlamps and taillights are kind of different from the real car. In addition to that, it is in your best interest that you do not expect such a powerful engine (potentially a 600bhp V12 engine) as that of the real Urus. Instead, the SUV from the Chinese 'Mustang' will carry a 1.5-litre engine from Japanese automaker Mitsubishi. This engine will help the Chinese version of the Urus to cruise around Chengdu with a total power output of 143bhp and a peak torque of 200Nm. This SUV from Sichuan Yema is the company's latest SUV. Formerly, the company had also announced quite a lot of new models, all of which were SUVs. Just for your information, the licence possessed by Sichuan Yema only allows it to build SUVs. Unfortunately, keeping in mind that the Chinese automaker has never really managed to deliver their cars to the streets, I wonder if the same will happen to this latest Chinese Urus as well. If you want a comparison, the red SUV you can see in the images is the actual Lamborghini Urus SUV from Italy whereas the white one is its Chinese counterpart.
  21. F1 wannabes or the F1 drivers themselves on a warm-up race for the impending night race? Anyway the grainy footage did not really showed much and the two super cars did not seem to be racing at high speed IMO but if they really were racing, good luck to the well-being of both the racers - just do not drag any innocent parties into harm's way in your silly quest to come up tops in order to satisfy your personal ego. From STOMP: http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...rrari_race.html Posted on 24 May 2012 Fast-car drivers still at it: Lambo and Ferrari race at Marina Bay in broad daylight STOMPer Victor spotted a Lamborghini and a Ferrari racing at breakneck speed in broad daylight at Marina Bay on May 21. The STOMPer wrote: "I spotted a Lamborghini and a Ferrari racing in front of the Esplanade towards City Hall and Shenton Way on May 21, 2012 at 3.58pm. "A video of the race was uploaded on YouTube and the police had been called up. "However, my friend said he still saw the Ferrari on the road as if nothing had happened. Its engine was still revving! "I think our police can't do anything to the high flyers." On May 17, DPM Teo had made a comment on his personal facebook page telling the traffic police to be tougher on speeding and reckless driving. His comment was made in light of the three-vehicle crash at Rochor Road that killed three and left two injured. Video footage of the Rochor crash shows the Ferrari running a red light at the road junction and hitting a taxi, which then hit a motorcycle. The accident happened at around 4.08am on May 12. Images 1 to 19 in the gallery below are of the Ferrari and Lamborghini race at Marina Bay while the rest of the gallery features photos of the three-vehicle crash at Rochor Road.

  23. This is an old case. Didn't know the outcome is so screwed up. A Lamborghini and a taxi crashed at Lau Pa Sat earlier this year, causing a pregnant woman to be trapped in the cab for an hour. After the accident, the woman gave birth to a premature baby and is now paralysed. At around midnight on April 1, a silver Lamborghini collided with a taxi at the junction of Shenton Way and Cross Street. A pregnant woman was trapped in the rear passenger seat, and it took SCDF personnel about an hour to free her. STOMPer Kelvin witnessed the rescue operation and said the taxi had been hit from behind as it was turning left. According to a New Paper report, the impact of the crash was so great that the Lamborghini's bonnet was crushed. The then eight months pregnant woman, who wants only to be known as Madam Ng, complained of pain in her spine as rescuers worked to free her from the taxi. She had to undergo an emergency caesarean section to deliver her baby when she arrived at Singapore General Hospital. Both mother and child survived, but Madam Ng was paralysed from the shoulders down. Her husband says that despite everything, the family is thankful that mother and child survived the accident, and they are also grateful to the SCDF, emergency response staff and doctors. STOMPer bee was saddened by the news and has this to say: "Can you imagine what Madam Ng must be going through? She was probably looking forward to the birth of her child, when this terrible accident happened. "Now, she has a newborn son, and she can't even hold him. It must be so heartbreaking. "And all drivers out there take note; please drive carefully and spare a thought for others, even if you don't treasure your own life."
  24. The Lamborghini Urus SUV concept debuted at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show with much anticipation and the car proved to be a big hit for the Italian automaker. The concept garnered much attention from all corners of the automotive industry; from enthusiasts up to rival auto companies. Lamborghini has mentioned that the car is pretty much on track for production but anyone who is interested in it has to wait until 2017, at the earliest. The reason for the delay is because the company has set some ambitious targets and this was revealed by Lamborghini
