drive that way then bro, until gb another issue then one shot send in..

seemed like dsg / dct etc. must be driven in "manual" mode.

hmmm... mayb should get one since i don't mind this method of drivin but still kiasi... I've been alternating my 4AT between D & +/- all this while - D for e-way / smooth traffic roads, +/- for normal roads / traffic jam / crawl & bends..

im in manual mode once it crawls. in d mode for the rest of it.. but once in a blue moon, still have

If it's flywheel, the clunking sound is super loud during stationery when gear is at P with air con ON. VCS does not consider flywheel to be part of the gearbox, my friend had to pay for the flywheel but VCS replaced a brand new gearbox as the old one was leaking.

I reported this problems 1 yr ago when my 3 yr warranty isn't up yet, they haven't resolved it since then and I have went in 9 times to seek resolution.  I might argue my case on this.

flywheel is about 2K..from what I heard. not too sure if I want to take the plunge to change and monitor

Incredible quality, service  and faulty new Golf

1) I am the owner of VW golf 1.2 2015,  Singapore . When i bought the golf I was not properly told of the CEV rebate of $10000 by the VW sales person. I only discovered it after the purchase and when i was given the log card. I found that my golf scrap valuse was less by $5k. All these information was not properly explained by the sales person of VW Singapore. In the end I actually have a loss of $15K meaning my small golf is actually much more expensive by $15K! I believe there are many similar cases of VW car buyers facing the same problems with this " honest practices" of the VW Singapore. There are many pending cases in VW singapore not being resolved by VW Singapore and CASE Singapore. In the long run, VW would surely loss all your valued customers!

2) When I bought the golf, there is a display on the wind screen stating that the mileage of the Golf is 20km per litre. So far I can only achieved 11 to 13 km per litres. Already feedback to VW Singapore, Their reply is mileage depend on road condition and vehicle speed and refused to rectify the problem of low mileage of the vehicle. The mileage that I achieved is far too away from the stated specification VW claimed. This has affected my choice of purchase and increase petrol cost as well.

3) When i received the new Golf, in the initial stage I experienced the Golf seem to lack of power and dragging on the road especially when going up the slope. I had feedback to the sales person who always remind me that I may not get used to the small car since I was driving a much bigger car last time. About 6 months down the road the Golf begin to have intermittent stalling problems as well. The problem disappeared once the Golf is restarted.

In July I was involved in a accident with a SMRT bus. The accident happened because I stopped trying to make a left turn turn when I felt there is a loss of power again. The SMRT bus driver thought that i must have already made the turn crashed into my vehicle and luckily only knocked off the number plate and slightly damaged my Golf buffer. I was very frightened and since then have a fear when I was driving. During the car repairs at VW Singapore, i told the workshop about the problem but nothing was found and the vehicle was certified 100% in driving condition. The intermittent stalling problems happened again and this time I went for a early annual car servicing at 12000km instead of the stated 15000km. Again the workshop told me my car has no problem and certified that car 100% in driving condition. After the servicing the intermittent stalling problems happened again as well as the loss of power and I send the Golf to the VW workshop again. This time VW told me that the clutch is faulty and one of my car horn has electrical fault error code. The two faulty items are replaced and the engine software updated.

So far the Golf is now much more powerful and has no intermittent stalling problem. I had demanded compensation from VW Singapore for the above serious issues and delivering a faulty a new GOlf to me but VW Singapore just brushed me off with a $250 service credit.

These misinformation about CEV rebate and green car emission and delivered a faulty car to buyer had greatly affected my choice of purchase and caused me substantial losses. VW really have incredible quality and service!

I hope u r not an accountant. Please don't double account the CEVS rebate, its a rebate given to u, how would u possibly make a loss of 15k? Don't understand..

give u 10k, take back 5k, simple as that

I think you you are a smart Alex accountant. I DO NOT RECEIVED THE 10k and lost another 5k . Such as a simple math do not need a accountant.

Your point (1) do not stand. Normally when  buying car, the SE will not need to tell you how much is the CEV rebate. It is supposed to make the car cheaper upfront though the car dealer might not return the full figure to car buyer. But this is not something that should change our opinion of the car as come on, nowadays many B&B cars would have CEV rebate so if you buy other car instead you are still going to get it. Maybe you are new to car ownership but then learn to accept it as a fact of life. Don't want CEV rebate, then buy those big cc gas guzzlers.

And maybe again you are new to car ownership, we can never achieve the FC claim by the car dealer. I would think you are very naïve to believe that a petrol car can achieve 20km/L. The actual FC of 11 to 13km/L is very reasonable already.

And your last point I cannot comment as no personal experience on the ride. It could be due to I-Stop feature kicking in resulting in loss of power? There might really be a issue but you will need to have a positive attitude to deal with the workshop nicely. Do not be clouded by your point (1) and (2) and keep thinking you have been shortchanged when it is not really true. Be nice and you will be surprised how much you can achieve in return. Glad that you do not have engine issue so far. Good luck.
