2 questions :

 

Is it right to say all lights (regardless what setting) will be turned off once we off the engine ? 

 

Anybody drive without the auto off and eco mode ? 

 

these continental style cars should shut everything off after a while if the engine is off, but usually they dont turn off the lights immediately when engine is shut off, unless in auto mode. If it's in a On/parking lights position, those lights may remain on even if you leave the car... experiment with your own car if you want to find out, I guess.

Today i monitor for awhile and after locking the car, the center dashboard lcd screen go off after around 1 min. The red handbrake P on the dashboard and the handbrake light at the gear lever side is still on.

 

Yah, sometimes I cant find the car so when I press, at least can see the headlights switch on from far but have not tested how far the remotes can work.

Yes all lights will be off.

 

No issue driving with auto off and if you need the lights, you can switch them on manually.

 

I also tried eco mode and rpm will hover below 2k rpm. Sports mode (Ds) seems to hover around 4k, nv really try much as D mode seems to be most economical for me. When I need to overtake, I just step harder for Rpm to go to 3k for that additional power. Moving off from traffic light at 2k can keep up with most traffic and 3k - 4k can be ahead of all traffic.

And further to my earlier question on how to play the movie while driving. The SE told to go to one of the workshop in Ubi and the guy just cut away one cable. The SE paid for the labour. He said warranty will not void. But it's just the law said it is not allowed to watch movie while driving.

No alarm leh, unlock also no sound. TC shld at least fix the beep beep sound for the car when locking and unlocking the car. Coz when i leave the car when the engine is on, the car starts to beep.

 

For me I set to auto but i notice for the past few mornings when driving out of the carpark, the headlight still on as likely the sky is still abit dark. I already set the auto lightings to "On Later" but the car still keep the lights on.

 

Kk i try to ask the servicing guy first see how.

Not the same... New LED headlamps do not require auto level and headlight wash like HIDs by law. The Qashqai Bi-LED don't have this features... Thats why it is cheaper alternative to HIDs. It sits right between HID and halogen in terms of lumens per cost for OEMs.

 

Likewise it is cost effective in Vezel....

Could I confirm below on a QQ 2.0 -  manual is hard to read.

 

1 - Auto lock all doors when moving 

2 - Rain sensing wipers

3 - How to clean wipers during car wash.

I know they are not the same... but got some people classify them as HID. I thought the law requires auto-levelling for LED though. If that's the case it might explain why Vezel and Altis headlights always keep flashing when going over bumps... very annoying leh.

 

In terms of cost, LED is actually much more expensive to design... even if the bulbs aren't as expensive. I never seen anyone else say LED is cheaper than xenons.

LEDs are not as expensive to design bec they are not subjected to legal requirements ( literally). If u add auto leveling + head lamp wash, the cost of designing a HID system cost way too much. My observation is that the LEDs system has better efficiency compare to halogen. Nevertheless it cannot outgun a HID system base on cost per lumens.

 

LED systems are expensive when you customize the led positions and the form factor base on the Headlamp design. If you design the headlamps base on available technology, it's not as expensive. So it depends on the constrains imposed on the designers.

 

LEDs will not achieve the level of intensity as HID system base on current available tech.... IMO.

Do bros here noticed with park brake on, engine on, when u step on brake pedal, there is a "click"sound"? Or is it my ride only? Don't remember hearing it earlier.

Do u also notice sometimes the car cannot go over uphill bump smoothly? Stuck halfway. It is as if the brake is applied.

Anyone tried the manual gear? Release accelerator then up down gear? Or no need to release accelerator?

Hi fellow QQ 2.0 owner, anyone regret on ur purchase? I already put deposit on QQ 2.0, now my heart swinging to the x-trail side for their features. Not sure TC will allow me to top up to change vehicle, any idea? I love both cars really cannot decide..zzz

To me QQ 2.0 moonroof is far superior to x trail. There is an ugly beam in the latter which spoils the view. Price differential is around 7$k not insignificant. I do like the option of a 3rd row of seats, that it is made in Japan, and the cameras for assisting with paeking

From what I've seen though, there are LED systems that can surpass the brightness of HID - they just have to be designed that way. Combined brightness of multiple bulbs can surpass that of a HID.

 

I would expect that you are right in the sense that it is not very expensive to design a relatively simple projection headlamp without levelling and washers such as seen on Altis, Vezel or Qashqai, but definitely, systems such as Mercedes ILS or the Dynamic LED I have at current are expensive than HID.

 

I guess it does depend on the manufacturer's goals. But personally I prefer LED to xenon, but I prefer adaptive xenon to static LED.

So far no sound when parking brake on as I just accelerate off from carpark lot without releasing handbrake. I only know when I activate the parking brake, can hear the handbrake mechanism squeezing the rear brakepads.

 

Nv encounter uphill hump also. But i miss the downhill hump at rivervale Mall as the car bonnet is too high.

 

The manual mode no need release accelerator, just shift will do.

My seats were choiceless too- black. Back seats are tighter than what I thought given the imposing size when viewed from the exterior.
