SiLangKia Supersonic September 24, 2015 Share September 24, 2015 Vezel is too common. More like Comfort Cab now as they can be easily spotted everywher anytime, why spend thousand K on something that look nothing special. 1.5L no power to accelerate, look big outside but intetrior space is like Jazz. Dissapointing Haiz If it's common, it's probably cos its good :) It may look like nothing special, but its one of the most value for $ new cars on the market so I think the thousand Ks are kind of worth it (for the spec that you get and the quality of Japanese assembly) As for the 1.5...if you're comparing it to Civic type Rs / Evos/ WRXs of course no power to accelerate, but I've tried my friend's car and its quite alright for SG driving, in fact on par or better than the altis/307 that served as my family's transport, and not much weaker than the FD civic 1.8 tt we have now No offence just my 2 cents & to each their own Happy motoring :) ↡ Advertisement
trajet2b 4th Gear September 24, 2015 Share September 24, 2015 (edited) There are people who asked why get Vezel and not HRV. I told them Made in Japan is the key difference for Vezel over HRV. But ppl argued that QC of Thai made is as good as Jap made. I really wonder these ppl have ever tried Thai made Pocky and Jap made Pocky. Sg made Nissin noodles and Jap Nissin noodles. Even the Seiko JDM watches vs the Seiko 5. There is really a reason why the Jap made stuff are a premium over those made elsewhere. Oh ya, not forgeting the jap made diapers and they are really good. not only made in japan but they have different engines too and fittings on the vezel is so much better. Andyngps 5th Gear September 24, 2015 Share September 24, 2015 (edited) Just returned from subaru TPY. The Forester priced at $120k Gtd COE quite tempting ...& can also try to ask for 5 years / 100k free servicing . Only thing bad is FC cos 4WD True. If not for the bad fc...drive wise better than vezel definitely for forester... Vezel is too common. More like Comfort Cab now as they can be easily spotted everywher anytime, why spend thousand K on something that look nothing special. 1.5L no power to accelerate, look big outside but intetrior space is like Jazz. Dissapointing Haiz Not defending vezel but interior wise bigger than jazz. What makes you think its like jazz? Building on jazz platform does not mean same size. Furthermore vezel is known more for small on outside big on inside. As for the power, tranny is a cvt....spotted everywhere means easier to get cheaper spare parts and better resale in future. You can try getting renault though. Quite similar pricing too for some models...and not common. Edited September 24, 2015 by Andyngps

Dissapointing Haiz Although its common and i see it everywhere including my office but when i see it i am still impressed with the look. Also, you have opportunity to customise/personalise it the way you want. I have seen some with very nice body kits and rims, etc.

More like Comfort Cab now as they can be easily spotted everywher anytime, why spend thousand K on something that look nothing special. 1.5L no power to accelerate, look big outside but intetrior space is like Jazz. Dissapointing Haiz Being 'common' can be also a factor why people decide to get this that car. It can mean overall value for money be it in specs, reliability, maintenance, spare parts etc, since many getting it as well. look at vios, corolla, altis etc, there was a time that there are everything on the road. sad to say 1.5L is more than sufficient on SG roads, unless u like to chiong number one moving of from traffic lights, or overtake cars who are already driving above speed limits. Mahathir once said, in SG, you engage 3rd gear, probably u will land in sea liaoz, lol And if one wants not 'common' seen car, he/she should get something rare, but may expect higher maintenance costs, finding spare parts, lower resale value etc.
Andyngps 5th Gear September 25, 2015 Share September 25, 2015 I was comparing vezel, qq and XV. I realised that the doors rattle quite a bit for qq when closing. Vezel is firm. XV is solid. No matter how I slam the XV doors, it just don't rattle. Interior wise, XV gave a long lasting quality feel, just like vezel. Qq feels conti. For me, I will always get a made in Japan car. Hmm..on the contrary i find more rattle on vezel. Qq seems conti feel so its a solid thud sound. Xv door seems heavier. Vezel is not good in terms of soundproofing.. More like Comfort Cab now as they can be easily spotted everywher anytime, why spend thousand K on something that look nothing special. 1.5L no power to accelerate, look big outside but intetrior space is like Jazz. Dissapointing Haiz This only means that vezel has been successful with consumers. It's only $100k+ and a bread n butter car, so of course will garner interest when it has all the bells and whistle on the checklist. But i still see many Altis and K3 on the roads. Dont worry, heard that Honda is limiting the export of vezel overseas(dont know how true). So it will be less common in future and become "got money also cannot buy" item. Cove 1st Gear September 25, 2015 Share September 25, 2015 not only made in japan but they have different engines too and fittings on the vezel is so much better. Some buyers are skeptical of buying from PI, due to the bad publicity sometime ago. Thanks to them else Vezel will be even more common on sg roads. Too bad KAH always bring in the wrong version of their car model. If they bring in vezel instead of HRV, then their sales will be in the top. Andyngps 5th Gear September 25, 2015 Share September 25, 2015 (edited) I thot someone posted earlier that jazz interior is bigger than vezel? Definitely not bro. I owned a jazz and a crv before. Vezel is in between. My fren bought the current jazz also find his smaller when compared to vezel. In any case the measurements can be found online easily. This only means that vezel has been successful with consumers. It's only $100k+ and a bread n butter car, so of course will garner interest when it has all the bells and whistle on the checklist. Spring Moderator September 25, 2015 Share September 25, 2015 Too bad KAH always bring in the wrong version of their car model. If they bring in vezel instead of HRV, then their sales will be in the top. Kah being AD could only bring in the export version which is HRV. Vezel is the domestic version but I find Honda Japan strange as in how come they keep the better version for themselves and export an obviously weaker version?

Only thing bad is FC cos 4WD There is always a trade off in terms for Power, FC and road stability. Forester is a true SUV whereas Vezel is only a cross over. At this price i will rather take Forester.

But again, most exports, less sg are based on the civic 1.8 engine. Sg gets 1.5 to stay in cat A. Could b req by kah.

Perhaps they will look for alternatives brand/models.

The jap kept the Seiko marinemaster, Attesa, Astron and Grand Seiko to themselves. Only recently we see JDM Seikos from Japanese sellers online offering these best kept secrets. The QC is top notch. ↡ Advertisement
