Doesn't look like it will pass inspections - Tow hook is illegal, and this modification is similar to installing tow hook.

Otherwise a great way to carry bikes.

hi

Please refer to the attach, a bro from this forum have already wrote in to LTA to query on this hitch installation. so I guess there shouldn't be an issue.

One of the installer (from the workshop) have also send his car with Hitch receiver for the yearly LTA inspection and clear without any comment.

thanks

(b) the installation of the bicycle rack and the securing of bicycles on the rack is carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations;

Thanks for the link! Read through, seems quite legit except point (b) which the LTA inspector might take issue with since the hitch attachment is a modification that Nissan did not recommend?

You know how LTA can be quite quite stick in the mud unless they have seen the modified vehicle and given the modification a certificate of approval? I think email correspondence may not hold water as there are points of contention (eg. point (b) which pushes the responsibility back to you as the owner to check with the manufacturer)

Booked my XT and got COE in the latest bidding. Not decided on the colour. Appreciate some suggestions.

I took the greyish blue with white interior inside, congrats on your new car.

Copper Orange colour is very outstanding as well. Seen one the other on the road quite nice.

If you aspire to be a fire fighter, go for the red one... Looks like a small fire engine from afar.

But I went for safer Greyish blue one.

Neutral Newbie

Hi, hubby and I are interested in the XTrail. We've test driven the car last weekend at Ubi and were pretty impressed by it. But haven't 100% decided to put in deposit for the car. I was quite shocked as well to see the interest rate that was quoted, which was 2.78%. Its 2.28% as stated in the Nissan website, so I'm wondering why the drastic difference when at the showroom. Appreciate it if anyone here also experienced the same thing. Thanks.

2K off listed price shouldn't be problem. I thought most things included? What other freebies?

Same at 2.78%, but SE did not insist on loan or amount.

Thanks for suggestions on colour. Grayish blue seems popular. How about black or white?

Try to negotiate to not have any penalty imposed for not taking a loan through TC. Go and get it from Citibank at 1.58%.

Did you manage to nego with them to this interest? I went thru Sgcarmart and it was around this percentage as well. We went to Mazda showroom before Nissan and they quoted us 2.38%, thought it was already high. Until went to TC...

The other day was at queenstown area, saw one test drive unit of the X-trail, the colour not bad look a bit like greenish gray.

Curtains? Why need curtains in a car?

Doesn't that block your blindspot when u try to turn your head?

My BIL installed curtains on his wish and i totally hate it..i had to lean forward very front just to turn my head and check for blindspot. That few seconds i had to lean forward, it also wasted precious time to look out for cars infront of me.

Most drivers are lazy to check blindspots and that's how accidents with motorcycles happened.

A big hazard to install curtains in a car seriously.
