Well at least you managed to watch one half!

We all deprived of EPL so this weekend community shield and next weekend start of EPL is really something to look forward to!

Those guys are lucky to be able to earn a living playing football whilst we peasants have to slog in our respective fields and worst still sometimes doing a job we don't quite like haha!!

Understand Jack Rodwell moving to Sunderland for 10mil.

At one stage, he was one of the most sought after English players but all went downhill after moving to City.

Let's see if he can pick up the mantle once again.

Scott Sinclair at City also the same and should move on if possible!

yeah so ironic that pool not loyal to him but he is still so loyal?

maybe he is loyal to the fans, not the management of the club!

Honestly, we are not really bothered as preseason friendlies are to build up fitness and identify weaknesses.

Of course if can win something is good but if there is really nothing else for you to aim for when season starts, you can take this trophy seriously. :)

For Pool, clearly they need at least one more striker as Lambert is not as effective as Sturridge in our fast counter style. Glen Johnson is simply shocking.

Liverpool v Manchester United ‘never a friendly,’ says Brendan Rodgers

• ‘It’s the biggest game in the world,’ says Liverpool manager

• ‘It is a big deal’ says Manchester United’s Darren Fletcher

as much as i agree that nobody owes each other a living much less loyalty,

i dont see where pool asked for kuyt's loyalty? so I dont see any irony here.

the only thing i see, is that kuyt deserves a lot of respect.

No one will deny the intense rivalry between the two biggest clubs in English football, hence even when meeting in a preseason friendly doesn't make the match any friendlier. That's what BR is saying.

But no way I am going to read too much into the results, it is more about integration, fitness building and identifying weakness.

Beating Man City on pens the other day give me no added optimism for the next season, and thus similarly, no pessimism for me in losing to Man Utd.

Feel free to disagree though :)

Agreed.

At the end of the day, no points won or lose, just a showcase of the EPL soccer to the americans, as both our bosses are americans.

What matters are the points to win in the 38 EPL matches
