With Michu out on loan (buy option) to Napoli, Swansea will not want to lose their other top striker in the same window. For Pool, there might be financial and tactical consideration in moving for Remy now. His release clause is £8m (for top 4 clubs) which is £11m lower than Bony's. Also, Remy is capable of operating out wide as well and this gives further options for BR. Apparently Sigurdsson wasn't even been informed about the bid with Spurs just accepted it and inform him of club's decision. In gist: 1) BR is looking to bring in 5 more players; 2) offers for Lovren and Davies; 3) close to getting Origi; 4) Remy is now the target as Bony interest cools; 5) all the earlier signings are planned prior to Suarez sale, ie, proceed from the sale untouched So we have 4 names from him.
