Even the Man City signing of Sagna albeit free is strange cos I understand

they have a salary freeze for City to be the same as last season so how

they can afford to pay him 130kpw or so???

Possibly they will be shedding some guys like Lescott, Richards & Co but even then nvr heard of a full back being paid so high and in his 30s somemore.

That said he's quite good I must say!

No wonder Ashley Cole leaving Chelsea cos they wanted to cut his pay but likely there will be some club who's willing to fork out this kind of wages for him I'm sure!!

Like what bro Ktg said, there are just some clubs perfect for retirement. By paying crazy wages, even if Sagna only starting FA cup and league cup matches for them, they would have prevented a rival club having him.

Cole already has 5-8 offers on table (depending on who you believe) and yes, his wage demand will somehow be met, Pool being one of them.

O23, I'm sure u already heard about Remy to Pool rumour. Together with Bony, I find both of them hv some standard but surely Pool shld use their budget on CB, LB n DM. Really need striker meh?

Remy and Bony I believe, even if we had shown interest, would be at enquiry, meaning whether player keen to move and what are the terms he is looking at.

Personally feel that the earlier Echo piece I shared is closest to the current Pool activities. Lallana, Can and Moreno. CB they are certainly going after especially now Agger is likely to leave. Lovren and Caulker are linked but I am not sure if interest at this point are as high as the trio.

Point to note though, the release list are not cast in stone yet.

Players contract till 30 jun but clubs put those into final year and yet to extend into release list and submit.

Should player sign an extension later, they will be removed from list.

Chelsea wise, Cole is gone but there is a 1-year ext on the table for Lampard.

Is it? I saw sagna and fabianski in retained list with (offer) next to it... so release list should more or less be confirmed?

I guess it is just a signal of intention from clubs. Arsenal wants to keep Sagna and probably offered improved terms but too bad Man City gave ridiculous offer.

Lampard's offer probably half his pay and Chelsea is telling him to take it or he is free to go.
