Just to update:

 

Used techron and f/c read 10.6km/l

 

1 tank after techron, f/c read 10.7km/l

 

 

Conclusion:

Additives don't work for my car.

Either my car system is very clean, or it is beyond salvage.

 

Butt dyno also didn't detect change in power.

Either car is very good or bad beyond salvage, or butt is oblivious to changes.

 

Waste money only. -_-

 

 

 

How young is the car? I feel Techron Concentrate doesnt really give additional power but the 1st and 2nd refuel can get very good FC. Thereafter, get slightly better FC than before using Tech Con.

 

FP Plus gave more butt feel on power - like a mini viagra but that has also eroded over time - perhaps butt getting use to it.

Just filled up with Techron Concentrate two weeks ago. The FC is consistent at 10km/l. Not much difference whether I hit the throttle hard or gentle.

 

I will monitor and update again after the next few tanks.

You have a fantastic car. What car are you driving?

 

Can hit the throttle hard or gentle and still get 10km/l?

 

I hit the throttle hard and lose 3km/l.

Adding fuel additive is like taking multivitamins.

 

If your car or body don't need it, it will be like a "waste of money"

Over-dosing is just as bad.

Dear all,

 

For review on using techron concentrate.

 

I poured in the contents to an almost empty tank according to instructions.

 

1) First tank } Gained 40km

2) Second tank} Back to average mileage

3) Third tank} Still monitoring, but based from what I foresee. It seems like worse than average. Minus 50km. [furious]

4) Fourth tank} Will feedback again

 

Mileage base on 70% highway and 30% normal road. Gentle acceleration.

 

Hi bros,

 

After running 5000km with techron concentrate. I have switched to Redline S1 fuel injection cleaner.

 

To me fuel consumption is better than Techron. Pros and cons. For techron you can feel car is responsive, but fuel consumption is not that promising. (mileage up and down).

 

For S1, you can still feel some responsiveness and fuel consumption is constant. Gain about 30 to 40km per tank on average.

 

* I pumped SPC 95 while using techron and Shell 95 while using S1. Im not sure if the addictive works or the fuel works. :). I will try SPC 95 for next refill on S1 and will review again.

I had tried tech ron n rds1 dont work for my car. Now using acentron its works, gain abt 15%. But some said will damage the ruber hose. Still monitor for 2nd bottle for my 06 mazda 6.

Techron is more like a laxative.

 

It unclogs your fuel injectors.

Acetone is ron booster. Will cause hardening of rubber hose in excessive amt. So, hose might crack n leaks.. Use with care... :-)

I think the BMW cleaner should costed a bit more.

How about extending it to more stations?

 

We did consider to extend to more stations, but for this time round we decided to run it at one station :)
