shawnhocy2003 Neutral Newbie September 30, 2017 Share September 30, 2017 been driving mazda 5 from oct 2016 till current date. Sales man said that petrol consumption for city drive cam reach 16km per litre. After driving for 1 yr the consumption never improve. I only managed to get 9 to 9.5km per litre after recorded for 10times. Thus my comments for their fuel efficiency is bull shit...

I suppose only a hybrid can hit 16km/l in city driving.... I believe Mazda listed FC (which includes plenty of cruising as opposed to city start stop) is not even near 16km/l

I believe Mazda listed FC (which includes plenty of cruising as opposed to city start stop) is not even near 16km/l Haha, if the listed is 15.1km/L and you expect 16km/L then I don't know what to say. Normally you should minus at least 30% off the manufacturer's number in the real world. Sbtyong 1st Gear October 12, 2017 Share October 12, 2017 It is great car if you are looking at compact MPV to fetch your family with sliding door. although it said discontinuous in US and Europe, other countries not only in Asia, but Canada & others still selling our Mazda 5. I also saw quite few Mazda 5 in Japan and they are still selling Mazda Premacy. In term of part replacement and supply. Do not worry. Just dont go back to TEK for part replacement. They normal said no and they have no stock for any of Mazda 5 part, will need to wait more than 2 months. You can go to 2 Distributors in Singapore for Mazda 5 part, If they cannot offer you much , then go to ebay and US mazda part website. ( This is best and fast ) Easy to get our part replacement there. I ordered and got within 2 weeks time ...prices is even cheaper than local distributors quote me. The only concern for some of the bro here to buy this model , is that the interior is bit out dated due to lack of new technology like autotail gate opening , auto parking system ,Start-stop button, Lane change warming system, Tire pressure Monitor system, Lousy Sound System and etc .... However thanks to technology , We can add alot of aftermarket parts to our car if u really need it. You can approach me & Bro here if you need to add or mod for your Mazda 5. ... Happy Driving Mazda 5 . .....to all bro there ,,,,,I see alot of Mazda 5 on the road nowadays ,,,,sometimes will like to tap horn to said Hi ....but afraid is not bro here from forum ...... Cwinedine 1st Gear October 26, 2017 Share October 26, 2017 Just went to test drive the M5 and I'm impressed with overall ride. Took it up to 80kmh and it's engine hovering at around 1500rpm. Smooth ride and quiet. Cabin feels plush and price is attractive too!
Shorty Turbocharged October 26, 2017 Share October 26, 2017 considering this car. not sure whether wanna get a 2nd hand or 1st hand piece. whats the price for 1st hand?
Cwinedine 1st Gear October 27, 2017 Share October 27, 2017 Price stated was 108800 with freebies. I reckon it's the most value for money MPV in this catergory. I went to see the Freed Hybrid as it was very well equipment but the interior size & comfort, M5 beats it hands down. With the roadshow @ expo, should have a better deal. andrewyewkc 5th Gear October 27, 2017 Share October 27, 2017 considering this car. not sure whether wanna get a 2nd hand or 1st hand piece. whats the price for 1st hand? http://www.sgcarmart.com/new_cars/pricelist/24/2017-10-27.pdf As the Deluxe is only 3k more, it would be better to get the deluxe at 109,800. You should be able to get at least least 5k off this price with overtrade etc. This car is excellent value in my opinion and the OMV is about same as a Mazda 3. It should probably have the best handling of an MPV around this price range. The 2L engine is quite smooth and strong compared to a Mazda 1.5L engine. It looks fine too. The only thing is the features and technology are a bit dated but that is good from a reliability angle.

HengYeowLiang Neutral Newbie November 12, 2017 Share November 12, 2017 based on my 1 year experience with my 2013 M5 i shall share the below pointers for you guys... cruise control - not really necessary in Singapore - unless u travel KPE everyday where 70km/h or travel up NS highway Msia. Keyless entry is a must, Mine didnt come with it so I installed aftermarket keyless entry. Push-start- Its really convenient to have it. But when sometimes you want to crank engine in morning to warm up your car.(Usually i stand outside before car warm up) Using Key is easier as to activate push start u need to press the brake pedal before pushing the "start" button. Auto Sliding doors. - its really good for kids/old folks but sometimes when u use Auto sliding door must also take note of the distance of the gap as it may hit the sidewall in some underground or hdb MSCP (usually if you park at the extreme end). I hit one time luckily the stain mark can be polish away. - its dangerous to use auto slide doors when u travel to m'sia. coz robbers can take advantage of the time lag for "Auto" to close door and rush into your vehicle. Rust- some parts near the sliding door can see a bit of rust, but i use WD40, so far okay.. 2nd row aircon is good enough, so far no complains for 3rd row passengers. Occasionally some squeaky sounds at the rear suspension when going over big humps at slightly fast speed. anyway i just go slow and no sound afterwhich. Overall I like the car as handling, the looks, it really drives like a saloon car even at full load... Hi, May I know where did you install the "start" button and how much it cost? Thks

Tire Pressure - Get those external ones will do like steelmate or from tyreshops. This will not void warranty Auto Tailgate - This is a motorised part so it will be tap it's power source from the car's battery so best to check with Mazda if warranty will be affected. Istop will restart if the aircon temp is not at it's optimal settings(if u set at a certain degrees, and the thermostat sense it's above the setting, aircon compressor kicks in, restarting the car) Correct me if im wrong
Kokho Neutral Newbie December 18, 2017 Share December 18, 2017 Anyone has encounter sliding door jam issue? My two year old Mazda always encountered intermittent door jam, has to switch off and close it manually. feedback to the service officer for past 3 servicing, but he always mentioned is due to lubricant dry out, Singapore weather and I use one side door more frequently, which i not convinced with his explanation. The service officer attitude not good as well, as well, insist as long as computer diagnostic passed they will not entertain, and i'm not the only Mazda 5 owner
