I have installed my ice after 3 days of collection. Im using a rockford 10" woofer (slim) at my boot. My i-stop is 90% off as when the engine restart, it always cause a problem for my front speakers as it may ne shot n takes a few second to restart. I think its due to the power sudden surge.

Does anyone face with such issues?

My current setup:

Speakers: ground zero plutonium speakers

Amp: gz reference mini x4

Gz uranium 2 ch(woofer)

Rockford sub woofer

H800 alpine processor

Tchernov purple rca cables

Van de hul snowline speaker cables

Of course there are alot of top model Pioneer and Alpine HU to choose from outside market ...u can refer marketplace here....

The good thing abt current installed pioneer HU on our Mazda 5 is that it is fully equip with bluetooth, steering wheel, GPS and so.

only thing missing is the TV control. but i do not need that now

....If u getting other new HU or 2nd second HU, u need to consider to buy all the accessories above and get them installed .....remember our Mazda also getting third party workshop to install ....they will charge accordingly ...

I actually go other route to update ICE like changing all ur speakers , install Amp / processor and sub, , as our Mazda 5 front speaker do not come with tweeter ,,,so the tweeter slot near ur side mirror is empty inside...

recently I also find there is a empty slot on the right side of our trunk which might able to fit in one subwoofer ....now exploring ...

Any bro here who have installed ICE kindly share ...poison us pls ....

Hi,

When the engine restart and your speakers are paused out for few seconds, does it happen to your Head Unit too?

If No, probably is your Amplifier which is the driver to your speakers that paused out that cause this issue.

With 2 amplifiers installed, what is your power cable size to your main battery which is drawing the supply to your amplifiers ?

Previously on my ex-Subaru with 2 amplifiers setup, I used 2 gauge wire (real good quality) for peace of mind.

Most of my I.C.E friends used 0 gauge wire instead.

Encountered this problem recently. the GPS always halt during navigation!

I guess you will need a trip down to Tong Lee (if they're still the installer) to replace the SD card. Otherwise, try to remove the SD card and copy everything to your PC, copy them all back to the same SD card, may help. Share with us what's working for you after you'd gotten it resolved.

Actually just copy the affected file out, delete it from the SD card, and copy back that file. I still need to do this step occassionally as I lazy to go there to rectify. Haha...

Did your SE gave u roof monitor and 2850BT? I understand that earlier folks was given X2750BT. I was told by my SE mine will be given Iroad car cam (front only) only.

Most 3rd party device can read .mp4 & avi. U check your Philip izzit saving recording as MP4 or avi? As long as file size not too big, your monitor should able to read. Depend on each player. Big file size will require longer time to load and may eventually hang or screen froze. You try to play around by converting. Ya

Hi Antant77,

Yes, did gave me a roof monitor & 2850. There's a micro SD card in the front cam. Nope, I mean can the front cam be live in the roof monitor? And also I can't use the APP button on 2850.

Thanks for the file type.

Mine doesn't happen again ever since the first case, probably because I simply don't use it.

I think get the SD card swap out by Tong Lee maybe a more hassle free solution for the future. I didn't do it though, but, some of members here did that.

Does anyone know if need to make appt at Tong Lee first or can just pop in if I happened to be around there? I encountered the error a few times but after shutting down n restarting the engine, the problem disappeared.

Hi guys, anyone knows what grade engine oil they use for mazda5 skyactiv engine?

It's been mentioned a lot of times. TE uses original Mazda Fully Synthetic 0W-20 GF-5 with Moly EO.

Thanks Weewee.

0W20 looks very thin for a high compression engine
