I was given Papago Gosafe 360 2 Channel Camera.

 

I ask the SE to give me in full box and don't install.

Reason is this camera unable to record during parking mode.

 

Hence later I will go install Iroad V9.

I ordered this new set of number plates together with my wheels at my regular tyre shop, Kah Tyres and Batteries located at 209 Lavendar Street.

It should cost about $70 per set with frame holders

 

The ladyboss gave me free as I traded in my original 16" wheels and my old 17" wheels for this new set of 17" wheels.

 

Have been dealing with them since 2003.

Finally collected my Mazda 5 yesterday after a long wait...

 

A nice ride experience and have done the following.

 

1. 17" wheels with Continental CSC5 225/45/R17 tyres

2. Debadge rear boot

3. Change to white/yellow car plates with black plain frame holders.

 

Next:

1. iRoad V9

2. Paint protection

3. I.C.E upgrade.

Mine also yellow and white number plate. Just tell the SE that you want this colour. My SE gave me two sets, one set original black and another yellow/white.

What do you mean by debadge rear boot?

Btw your front car plate is long rectangular type or squarish type? Saw most are long rectangular car plate...thought of installing squarish one.

Seems like OMV for M5 has gone up. Mine's 18+k when registered in Nov 2015. Maybe due to weaker SGD.

Based on my previous experience, it will affect your FC because greater air flow entering your engine to induce pick up speed. My last ride got many "black black" things collected at the performance air filter, super difficult to remove. I remember must buy some chemical to remove them. After numerous attempts, I eventually using back the paper filter for every servicing. Kinda not worthy.

 

Not advisable to get second hand too. My two cents ya

Pardon me, may I understand your parking mode recording means when you shut down the vehicle and the camera is still recording? 

 

FYI. Papago is a good brand. I used to have P1i. I replaced because it is to bulky and difficult to mount at my preferred angle. However recording is superb. U can fetch good price if you sell it.

 

My current ride (blackvue) require a separate module (magic pro) in order to achieve vehicle shut down and still recording function. Does Iroad V9 able to do? If you have chance to compare the price difference kindly share ya.

I was using Blackvue 350 on my old ride for 3.5 years matched with Power Magic which allow me to do continuous recording even when car is parked, Parking mode.

 

I just installed the new Iroad V9 just now which do not need Power Magic as it has a built in feature which can cut off voltage at a preset setting.

 

Papago I didn't bother to install as i'm not sure of the video quality and I definitely need to get a Power Magic even if it has Parking mode.

 

I'm gng to lelong sell off my Papago.

Otherwise will install on my Dad's Toyota Axio bah since his current camera like gng gone case.

Debadge the boot by removing all the emblems to give it a clean/sleeper look.

 

Both the front and rear are all rectangle type, same as original.

I change the holders to Black plain type as I do not like to advertise for TEK, haha...

1. My visor mightly use to conceal my window when leaving ajar under the hot sun.

2. When it is raining and u r smoking in your car. U still can open your window ajar.

3. Using zippor liquid to clean the surface before u paste the sticky tape. Press firmly for few minutes. It can last like forever. Cannot lazy

Mine doesn't happen again ever since the first case, probably because I simply don't use it.

I think get the SD card swap out by Tong Lee maybe a more hassle free solution for the future. I didn't do it though, but, some of members here did that.

 

so far the error never appear after reformat the SD card. 

 

question, I don't like the Galactio GPS system, since now know where is the SD card located, can we download other GPS system by replacing the SD card?

I don't think it works just by replacing the SD card. If I'm not wrong, the HU actually running WinCE, and you'll need some method to get the new GPS software install. Hopefully, some member with better knowledge in this can share.

 You will need to go to the vendor Tong Lee, he install a new sd card for me. Apparently some cards have heat issues. After changing the cards my gps has works well. I have always preferred Galatico to Garmin as it shows a “as the crow flies” blue line to your destination from your car, at all times, so you can tell if you’re heading in the wrong direction.

It's not activated because in the first place there's no TMC antenna connected to it. The module is not TMC capable too.
