Men double final now playing,

SIN vs MAS [sweatdrop]

woohoo, team Spore won game 2 :D

The Malaysian players are classy. They actually apologised to the Spore team for having won a point due to a lucky shot that trickled over the net in Malaysia's favour [thumbsup]

Turbocharged

Actually, the strong countries for Badminton are China, Malaysia and Indonesia. I'm surprised Malaysia did marginally ok in this commonwealth games. They never even win a single medal for their men and women singles. Terrible!!! The legendary Lee Chong Wei must be very upset with his successors.

Congrats to Derek Wong. Hope this will lead to something big, especially against the big 3 nations.

Thomas Cup strong countries; read the table as Champs, Runner Up and Semi Finalist

Really? Not a numbers game?

The 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi saw Team Singapore rack up at record-breaking haul of 11 gold, 11 silver and nine bronze medals.

Four years on, the Republic have mined a smaller haul of medals in Glasgow eight golds, five silvers and four bronzes but Singapore chef de mission, Low Teo Ping, still grades the overall effort a commendable B+.

I think it's sporting etiquette to do this. Table Tennis they also do it when the ball hits the edge of the table thus acknowledging the luck of the shot.

The receipent of the lucky shot would thus raise their hand acknowledging this!

Agreed :))

Can't be so skillful to always hit the edge of the table :D

However, In football, if always hit the goal post and bar, and yet couldn't goal in, this is called "really sueh" !

haha!! That's true. I have this belief in football that if a team hits the woodwork 3 times during a match, that team will not score no matter how long the game is played!!
