Subaru Levorg

Went to test drive the Levorg at Toa Payoh showroom on Sat.

 

Upon entering the driver seat, wow. Very cramp. Shoulder room a lot smaller. The width of the car feels cramp. Only driver seat is electric powered. No memory. Passenger side is manual. Wifey complained. After setting my driver seat, all the way back, the back seat no leg room at all. Wifey say the seat very hard. But I find it ok and like the hugging seat. Windows no more frameless which my wife likes.

 

Boot space is good and comes with space saver spare tyre. The back seat does drop down 60/40 type. However no electric tailgate. Engine bay looks good, bonnet lift using dampers.

 

Then comes the test drive. As it was raining, immediately drive out, feel like a tin can from rain on the sun roof. Told SE, and he pull the shade to try to damper the noise. But still audible lor. The SE keep telling me push the car thru corners. I love the handling, pickup from stand still and midway pick up. The drive was incredibly much much better than my sedan. Very engaging. Also can disable the automatic start-stop where it shuts the engine at the traffic lights.

 

 

For that price, I was expecting the same interior space and features of an executive sedan like the legacy. These are lacking in the Levorg. I ask if there are any other trim level as wifey really hate the manual passenger seat after having electric seat for so long. The SE say dont have. Just look at the lagacy centre cup holders, they are placed side by side. Levorg is placed front and back. These shows the shoulder room is lacking.

 

 

Now waiting for the new FL Hyundai i40 tourer. Hope it has much better features. But will definately miss the kind of handling Levorg has.

On last Sat, SE told me price is $127,800. No further discount. He say price will hold till Feb.

- With 50k loan, I received $3,000 discount (booked the car on 30-Dec).

 

- They already have stock the cars. You can get it as soon as a week after successful COE bidding.

today I went to Subaru TPY show room for other business, by the way to take a look for Levorg,

quite disappoint for its rear seat, the floor center divider is too high, totally sacrifice the one seat, 5 seat passenger car become 4 seat,

before I dilemma between 2016 Civic and 2016 Levorg, now no doubt liao, wait for 2016 Civic

i saw that there is a button for hill holder. is this not activated auto and must be turned on manually every time the car starts?

Never thot i would say it but Subaru has actually produced a car that looks good, both in and out.   

 

The 1.6 GT-S seems very well spec-ed too at the current price of $118k. 

 

Wonder if any bros have managed to book the Levorg?

Possible. Read that worldwide demand quite hot for the Levorg and probably ah seng onli allocated a few units every month.

Nice, if the Levorg was around when I was looking last year, I might have gotten it too.
