Maybe the BMW driver only brought sufficient cash for haircut no more to top up cash card.

Cannot blame him.

Some of the haircuts after extras not cheap.

Maybe he ran out of cash.

Dutch medical centre probes suspected IVF sperm mix-up
WORLD, HEALTH NEWS

The Hague - A Dutch medical institution announced an investigation Tuesday after discovering that up to 26 women may have been fertilised by the wrong sperm cells at its IVF treatment laboratory.

A "procedural error" between mid-April 2015 and mid-November 2016 during the in vitro fertilisation was to blame, the University Medical Centre in Utrecht said in a statement.

"During fertilisation, sperm cells from one treatment couple may have ended up with the egg cells of 26 other couples," it said.

"Therefore there's a chance that the egg cells have been fertilised by sperm other than that of the intended father." Although the chance of that happening was small, the possibility "could not be excluded," said the centre.

"For some of the 26 couples, frozen embryos are still available but the chance remains that they (too) have been fertilised by the sperm from a man other than the intended father," the UMC said.

The couples have been informed.

"The UMC's board regrets that the couples involved had to receive this news and will do everything within its powers to give clarity on the issue as soon as possible." In vitro fertilisation involves a series of procedures used to treat fertility or genetic problems and assist with conception.

The fertilised egg (embryo) or eggs are then implanted in the uterus. One cycle of IVF takes about two weeks.

But mix-ups do occur, including one in 2012 when a Singapore mother sued a clinic for alleged negligence after it mixed up her husband's sperm with that of a stranger.

In that case, the ethnic Chinese woman first suspected that something was amiss when her baby, who was born in 2010, had markedly different skin tone and hair colour from her Caucasian husband, news reports at the time said.

Did all the babies look like one donor or one lab technician?

:D

Indonesian pilot investigated for allegedly showing up drunk for flight

JAKARTA: Citilink, the low-cost subsidiary of national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia, said it had placed one of its pilots under probe after he reportedly showed up for work under the influence of alcohol.

The pilot, identified by The Jakarta Post as Captain Tekad Purna, delayed the departure of a Jakarta-bound Citilink flight from Surabaya by over one hour on Wednesday (Dec 28) after he showed up late before making an unclear welcome announcement.

Citilink Indonesia's corporate communications vice president Benny S. Butarbutar said in statement on Wednesday that the flight which was scheduled to depart at 5am, took off at 6.20am.

He said the management removed the pilot after a passenger lodged a complaint that he made an unclear welcome announcement before the plane took off, raising suspicions that he was drunk.

According to the Jakarta Post, many passengers decided to disembark the plane soon after, with nine of them deciding to cancel their flights.

Butarbutar added that the management decided to replace the pilot immediately before the plane finally departed.

The offloaded pilot was taken to a clinic at the airport for a health examination and he was suspected to be drunk while on duty, Butarbutar said.

The plane, carrying 154 passengers and crew, safely landed in Jakarta on Wednesday morning.

She dumped you is it?

I don't mind she flaunting her wealth but please stop using so much MeiPai, Camera360, etc.

Women always complained men bluff them but in fact it's the other way round.

First it was makeup, then false eyelashes, then high heels, then wonder bra, then hair extension then this MeiPai.

KNN...

Ipoh housewife killed while saving tortoise in park

IPOH: A housewife fell to her death after slipping on the edge of a lake while saving a tortoise here yesterday.

Ipoh police chief ACP Sum Chang Keong said the incident occurred at about 9.30am when the victim, Chin Ah Looi, 57, who was exercising in Bandar Seri Botani near Simpang Pulai, saw the tortoise in the park.

"The victim tried to save the tortoise (by carrying it from the park and releasing) it into the lake.

"While the victim was standing on the edge of the lake (after dropping in the tortoise), she slipped and fell and is believed to have been pierced by a piece of mangrove wood before falling into the lake," he said in a statement.

Sum said an auxiliary policeman, who saw the incident, tried to pull the victim to safety before contacting the ambulance and police station for help.

He said the victim was pronounced dead by a medical team after arriving at the scene, and the body was taken to the Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun Forensics Department for an autopsy.

He said the autopsy revealed that the death was caused by a chest injury due to a stab wound.

"The investigation also found no trace of criminal elements, and the case has been classified as sudden death," said Sum. -- BERNAMA

I smell something fishy here.

"Stab wound to the chest."

"Slipped because she was by a pierced by a piece of wood."

"Polis man just happened to there when it occurred."

This is the give away. Polis man are never around when you need them.

Anyway all deaths are sudden deaths

except the slow ones.
