I just drove back from Mandai, full of road hog. I don't think they are aware. They are thinking they are driving withing max speed limit so ok to drive in any of the lane even all lanes are empty.

Now speeds cams are in many places, intentional or hidden.

 

Who dares to drive too fast?

I didnt advocate fast but to keep to the left if you are not overtaking. max speed does not mean you can drive in any lane.

Agreed,i noticed alot of PHV & Taxis driving just near 90km/h in the 1st Lane.

If even taxis are driving within the speed limits, it's a sign we should consider too.

hoggers have good intentions....

 

they are helping to train us for driving in lhd countries so that we won’t drive on the wrong lanes and get into accidents

Hoggers and Against-Hoggers are pretty much the same type of people, they just have different justifications to claim the 1st lane as their own. Both parties stay on the right lane most of the time.

 

Hogger - I am travelling right at the speed limit so I deserve to be on the fastest lane. No one should be faster than me, it's against the law. Stay behind me.

 

Against Hogger - I am fast & furious so I deserve to be on the fastest lane. No one can be faster than me, those in front pls siam out of my way.

 

Feel free to dislike, just speaking my mind. I know where this forum is mostly leaning.

both statement is ok for Hogger and Against Hogger

we all know in this world there is always another person faster than you ... stronger than you ... richer than you ... more handsome than you

in that case ... why not just switch to L2 and let other to pass. not hard right?

i really "respect" the driver in Germany Autobahn. even cheongster zooming at 250kmph also siam for someone to overtake

idiots in the 1st lane. Always when they are in the vicinity of a speed trap zone they will drives well below the speed limit. There was even a silver taxi that braked from 90 to 60 on kje while the driver smile and grinned at the officer on the bridge.......knn.....nearly hit his backside! What's up with this driver who drives slower than the speed limit? Must tell them 95 on a 90 km/hr speed limit on our expressway wont get us a ticket lei!

not saying either is wrong or right........but graciousness will make a nice drive nicer. Giving way to a faster car wont let the hogger ego become smaller or the overtakeing driver balls bigger.......

What you say makes sense. It all boils down to an inflated sense of entitlement and lack of awareness.

 

Just this morning, I was behind a hogger on the first lane of a normal road. I was going a bit faster cos rushing to work, while this driver just took her own sweet time, I decided to be patient without pushing her by staying too close. When approaching a junction, she just jam braked suddenly without rolling even though there was a huge gap in front, forcing me to do the same which startled my wife.

 

It's instances like these that can really compromise safety - drivers who are in their own world on the road, hoggers or otherwise.

its illegal to overtake from the left.......ðððð.....joking nia! I always asked myself the same question when overtaking a hogger at 90km/hr when i am in the 2nd lane......worst is when i am in the expressway left most lane with the lane clear and overtaking all those heavy vehicles at 70km/hr.....ððð

I drive 90km/h on the left most lane on certain stretch of the expressway because it is clear, everyone squeeze to the right

 

90-60-70-80

 

my wife will scream at me said I am overtaking from the left
