Cabby cuts lane without signalling, jams on brakes then drops passenger in front of 'no-stopping' sign-

Isn't this a common behavior by taxi drivers?

And of course, passengers also play a part when they just want to drop at any place at any time, apart from dropping at expressways :D

The person who submit this story really exaggerating also la. So big gap between him and the taxi and the taxi never even jam brakes. Lol. Even the part about many cars honking. Sounds more like only the cam car honking.

seems anything on Stomp is exaggerated with hyperbolic titles. Like the previous post about the Renault Megane... "and then speeds off"... the Megane moved off slowly with hazard lights indicating that he seems to want to pull over....... well maybe he "speed off" after the video cut out... but still, Stomp really seems to just exaggerate for "newsy-ness"...

I won't be surprised if I submit something like "two cars have accident at junction"... become "two drivers involved in head-on crash"... crash is a stronger word

It is an option...[very expensive].

Oops. Didn't realise that. So far all the newer mercs I sat in had it. The driver can practically let the car drive itself of the expressway.

Actually this is very normal for a Taxi to stop at road side and let passenger alight. Besides the Taxi driver had got enough time to cut infront of the car and the Taxi on his hazard light. The taxi must stepped the brake as he was stopping. From what I saw, the cam driver too impatient and it was impolite to honk at the Taxi.

i do not care what passengers says or want, but taxi lao should never let them alight or board just after the traffic lights.

this may cause chain collision for all you know....

Most taxi driver don't want to risk not being paid by the passenger so they'd rather listen to what the passenger say than care about the cars behind.

Actually, should be cautious at all times. Not only when behind taxi. Always keep a safe distance also.

Quite ironic that this van almost hit a rider.
