You are looking from the affordability point of view , whereas I am addressing whether the Altis is "worth renewing" , which is the title of this thread .

We have to base on our affordability to decide which one is more 'worth'.

Peace of mind of car loan or every month pay $1400 for 5 year.

I don't think you need to go workshop every month for a COE car right?

Dun need look.the depreciation makes one have depression

2nd hand car is not cheap nowadays as dealers are anticipating people to buy to wait for COE to drop.

BMW so many problems after only 4 years +?

Better to spend more money on Korean technology

for reliability.

Not many. But then still affects the driving. Engine doesn't idle properly(RPM keep going up and down even after driving for a while) and the doors sometimes don't unlock properly. Sometimes the CEL comes on but then after parking for a while it disappears so dunno whats the problem.

BMW cars must be great to own/drive coz i know loyal customers who change their BMW to another new one every 3-5 years. I asked why, they told me "Better get new one and roll over with trading in the old one, else breakdowns and repairs will make me mad!!" dont know they are bluffing or telling the truth, but i do see them drive new BMW every 3-5 years without fail. I think so cuz the problems not very big but then still got extra costs. The same workshop charge more for BMW then for my hyundai also. lol.
