Credor Twincharged July 9, 2015 Share July 9, 2015 I am servicing my first 1000 k now. The BM service personnel told me that my 3m car mat will choke the air con and later left a stale smell in the air con. He wanted to throw my 3m car mat on the spot but I stopped him. Any not using 3 m car mat for their car ? I dun wan to use the lousy Toyota car mat I dun think it will be this price if u buy from the shop Haha.. This BM service personnel just trying to give excuse in case you complain on the stale smell from the air con. If other brand or model got no problem in using 3M car mat.... Then whose problem? If throw away the 3M car mat, still have stale smell issue.. He going to pay you a new car mat plus can solve the problem or not? ↡ Advertisement

This is what the service centre will do: 1) If you complain foul smell, straight away they will say it's the car mat. 2) If you say the car electronic not functioning properly, they will say its the in car camera, since it is not installed by BM. Honestly, its only the rubbery smell but after a while it will go away. That is why I did not complained about foul smell on A/C, which will go away after a while too... BM staff getting creative in giving reasons, the real reason not so nice to trumpet around.

Kindaixin 1st Gear July 12, 2015 Share July 12, 2015 Question on gear changing when car is stopping: When your car stop at a traffic light or in a jam, do you... 1. Keep gear at D and hit the foot brakes 2. Keep gear at D and pull hand brake 3. Change gear to N and pull hand brake, only changing back to D when you are moving. I usually will do 3 but not sure whether it is good for the car. Any advice?

Because the car is trying to move forward but handbrake holding it back. 3. Abit of a hassle.

Except you have to be very alert when it is time to move to avoid road hogging...
