Springf 1st Gear May 25, 2017 Share May 25, 2017 I found the Video playing function of the HU pretty useless.. once the parking brake is released the video will be disabled... so in long trip your passengers' only entertainment will be music... Altis2016 1st Gear May 26, 2017 Share May 26, 2017 Agreed. Like u I played with the video until I realized the park mode. I think the best way is to use mirroring but I nvr got the time to explore it.
Altis2016 1st Gear May 26, 2017 Share May 26, 2017 I was just wondering how the rim size affect FC. 1.) Register may 2015 basic model (I think on 15 inch rim) My friend told me he do mostly short city drive. Seldom go on high way. Pump petrol every 2 weeks. Average FC (not reset for 1yr plus) show 13.3km/l. 2.) Register may 2016 elegance model (16 inch yoko tire) Doing aro 580km per week with 80% highway. Pump petrol every week. On my third tank, Average FC is 15.6km/l. Stabilized @ 15.1km/l before 30k mileage. Now @15.0 km/l. Average FC not reset since Sept 2015 I was wondering when our tire wear out more and more, tire surface area contact increase and in turn lead to more resistance. Will be interesting to know about bro on 17inch rim.
Drion 2nd Gear May 26, 2017 Share May 26, 2017 17 inch stock, average about 12+ to 14+. 50% city, 50% highway. But I reset during every pump. And now my rims already changed. Still same average but mainly due to jam still.
nomodox Neutral Newbie May 26, 2017 Share May 26, 2017 My previous fc was 16.2km/l... calculated by the car. First time doing manual calculation, it was 15.78km/l. 70% highway.

Springf 1st Gear June 1, 2017 Share June 1, 2017 collected car for two weeks, mostly short distance driving on weekdays (trip <6km, involve half on high way), and moderate distance on weekends( 10-20km per trip, half high way also). current average is 9.8km/L. is that something wrong with my car? i remember some brother posted 12km/L even for 90% city driving... clocked around 400+km now with first tank on SPC and second on Caltex (refueled when the bar shows 1/4 left)
ConnorMcLeod 2nd Gear June 1, 2017 Share June 1, 2017 The short distance is the cause of the low FC. I can see my FC drops from 16km/l to 12-13km/l just becaues a couple of short trips from home to supermarket. the drive in the MSCP going up / down the ramp etc is bad for FC. I started with SPC when my car was new , when I was experimenting on different brands. I never went back to SPC again after a couple of tanks when the FC drops continuously. Caltex so far so good. collected car for two weeks, mostly short distance driving on weekdays (trip <6km, involve half on high way), and moderate distance on weekends( 10-20km per trip, half high way also). current average is 9.8km/L. is that something wrong with my car? i remember some brother posted 12km/L even for 90% city driving... clocked around 400+km now with first tank on SPC and second on Caltex (refueled when the bar shows 1/4 left)

Carbuyer8989 1st Gear June 1, 2017 Share June 1, 2017 Altis FTW! Lol http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/transport/car-firms-question-emission-exemptions Car firms question emission exemptions A number of carmakers and dealers are crying foul over a surprise move to exempt some models from getting particulate matter (PM) readings. It is counterproductive to the Government's aim to reduce PM - or fine soot - in the air, they said. The National Environment Agency (NEA) made public last week, in response to queries from The Straits Times, that petrol models with port fuel injection (PFI) will not be tested for one of the five pollutants. Due to the exemption for petrol models with port fuel injection, a car like the Toyota Corolla Altis, which employs port fuel injection, could enjoy a tax rebate, while a similar model, such as the Mazda 3 (above), would be slapped with a surcharge, possibly making it 15 to 20 per cent costlier. Back in 2014 already announced. Now then come and make noise. I prefer port over direct. http://www.nea.gov.sg/corporate-functions/newsroom/news-releases/singapore-will-adopt-the-euro-vi-emission-standards-for-petrol-vehicles-from-september-2017 Singapore Will Adopt the Euro VI Emission Standards for Petrol Vehicles from September 2017 Switching Over to Higher Emission Standards to Reduce Harmful Vehicular Emissions Singapore, 1 December 2014 – Singapore will adopt the Euro VI emission standards from 1 September 2017 for petrol vehicles. The new regulation will further reduce NOx and fine particulate emissions, in particular the PM2.5 from vehicular emissions. This move is in line with the National Environment Agency’s (NEA) efforts to further improve our ambient air quality by regulating vehicular emissions. 2 Euro VI is the latest engine emission standards set by the European Union (EU). The EU’s vehicular emission standards impose strict rules on tailpipe gas emissions of new vehicles sold in EU member states. They have also been progressively implemented in Singapore and other countries. Currently, the standard for petrol vehicles in Singapore is Euro IV. 3 NEA has been in consultation with the automotive industry since early 2014 on the enhancement of vehicular emission standards, in order to provide the automotive industry with sufficient lead time to develop motor vehicles that are able to meet the emission requirements. Industry players had been informed that the stricter standard was expected to be implemented from the second half of 2017. By September 2017, there will be an adequate supply and range of Euro VI petrol vehicle models for consumers to choose from. 4 Additionally, with effect from September 2017, NEA will accept petrol vehicles using Port Fuel Injection (PFI) technology that have achieved Japanese emission standards (JPN 2009) as being equivalent to meeting Euro VI emission standards. ~~ End ~~ thanks, I will stay on Caltex see if gets a bit better. I am curious what FC you getting for Caltex. I am also experimenting on my family Altis. 1st tank using SPC 98 - getting 14+ km/l. 2nd tank using SPC 95 - also getting 14+ km/l. Driving at 80% highway, 20% city. Since I don't find any diff between 98 and 95, decide to stick with SPC 95. Hello Guys, Anyone gotten their Altis recently? Anyone have a good SE to share? Looking to ink deal this weekend. Just a side note, do they give trade in discount if I have a car to trade in ? Have you log in any test drive with BM? If yes, I suggest you go with the SE who served you, to be fair lah. They used to give 2K discount for trade in, not sure about their latest promo. ↡ Advertisement
