Disclaimer: I'm not trying to comment on any investigation, or influence any possible legal proceedings. I'm only commenting on what i believe is happening on this forum.

 

Some EDMWERs is possibly being legally informed of a possible defamation suit for alleging some FTs in Singapore are using 'fake degrees' procured from a certain 'degree mill'.

 

I'm not making any allegation; i am merely spreading awareness to remind every forum members to be-careful with their postings, and that's including myself.

This episode shows the seriousness of the situation not only confined to private companies but also in GLC or even ministries. These affected organizations function well by these fakes? Of course not. All you got to do is to get one FT up there, then he will recruit the gang to line the top layer. Singaporeans will help to provide the necessary support to get things done. Check this out and it is common. 

You want to break that layer or be part of the team? It is almost impossible. BTW, this is not new but in the days of the ang moh, the numbers they brought in were not that many and they don't occupy that many levels. Today, PEMT are also affected.

no surprise i personally encounter such degree holder engineer who can talk until got tiger and dragon in the meeting room.

but cannot do simple calculation. 

their pay is cheap, very cheap for a degree holder engineer. i think some company know they fake also, but need them to sign paper for work to proceed. win win. company get the guy they need to sign paper at 50% of the pay for a real degree engineer, fake engineer get a real engineer job with pay they cannot even imagine.

the loser??? real degree holder who spend 5 years or more studying and cannot get a proper job.

it's like playing lottery. submit false cert, and if you get through, your pay is at least 10x more than what you get at home.

It will be corrected IF those FT that provide certs has to be certified by a Lawyer / Law Firm.  A sort of a process between the uni and the "registration/certification" process should be made readily available.

Especially from the stats of which ever countries has been flag out, to put a watch list in place.

The issues are, Singaporeans are squeezed out by them from jobs. They in turn produced inferior products for us. Why are we doing these to ourselves?

I know of FT taking over job and paid more although they not necessarily know about the job. Well connection is the key or we should term it as relationship.
