that exactly what i am trying to say. safety, no adjustment by owner. others, owner can decide how they want it. beside start/stop, owner can waste energy in many ways. so next time car left idling also engine stop?

Too bad the world now is in a sad state of stupidity.

Talk till cow come home also no use.

Most car manufacturer going to move to 48v mild hybrid system.  Start-stop will be gone then.

But the engine will start again if stopped for too long right? Unless he turned off the aircon.

Anyway tat is 2006

Now if you are far away from the car, it will turn off..if it does not detect the presence of the key

Only chance of this happening in Sg is in landed property and those too are not connected to the home . Unless one sleeps in the garage

Is it? I saw a video where a guy tested whether the car will run without the key nearby and it runs leh. So long he don't turn off the car, it will keep running.

This is the one.

I believe untill an alternative energy is found, electric will be the way. we are probably 10 years away from how to replace stored electric energy efficiently like pumping petrol.

majority of countries with advanced R&D do not focus on aircon because they also focus on heating. somehow this aircon technology is still very much the same. hope one day we can convert the heat gain from the sun to cooling, then electric car will be reality here sooner.
