Yes I agree, Toyota have Hybrid technology. The battery have to be changed after a certain period of time. That additional cost to owner.

 

Japanese use Turbo a lot in the past. But at that time, turbo car consume a lot of fuel. Therefore, Japanese car company abandon the turbo and use NA. Several technology has been developed to save fuel. Hybrid is just one of them. CVT actually save fuel as well and improve acceleration, just most people don't like the "rubber band" feeling. You know that William developed a F1 car with CVT before, it was so good that it was banned so that the competition is more even.

 

Mazda Skyactiv or Toyota VVTi-W is another technology that reduce fuel use. It allows a very high compression ratio on petrol engine.

 

There are also well known method to use Aluminium to reduce weight and therefore save fuel. It is used by BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar. It is not that Japanese don't know the technology, it is expensive and Japanese car company want to control cost.

 

For the new turbo technology, the Japanese car company fall behind but I am pretty sure that they are picking up. Toyota has the new 2.0L turbo engine, Honda has the 1.5L turbo engine as well. These will be put in place for more new car models from Japan.

Aiya nothing wrong with branded good lah, I think people just need to envy those worth envying. Branded goods are branded for the reason that they strive to be the best of what the company stands for and the human race should always progress to a better world.

 

But ultimately if the person owning the good is of a chui character (aka see below) I find it hard to envy them in whatever way.

 

I feel sorry for your colleague to lead that kind of life, I think he needs to go on a retreat or help out in some 3rd world nation to really break him out of this kinda mentality. I know people like that in my office also haiz at the rate they are going I hope they plan their future and not piss everything on some watches/cars etc.

 

On a serious note, if you reckon he is worth the trouble you can ask him to check this out http://health.aenon.org.my/ probably need to do a like 10 day program. Been keen to try them out to change my unhealthy lifestyle part of which is procrastinating :D

I supposed from a young age, every parent wants their kid to go to "branded" school. ACS, SCGS, etc

 

Then when u are there, there is no end of comparison, - my parents has a BMW, my dad has a XYZ car and then get obstracise .. then of course there is this segration that takes place and when u come out "tune up" wih how you were treated, it becomes a bench mark that you want to get ..

 

at least thats what my colleauge shared with me.. it became almost shameful to have a non branded items or parents or affordability

 

I guess the school tried to help by trying to not create an "elite" sense of behaviour but then again, how not to?

 

SO now he bacame a "screwed up" mentality... full of inferiority complex..

 

I pity those who onthe surface seems to achieved much but some how seems inadequate to be able to enjoyed what they have..

 

I supposed in a way its true that the rich has plenty of money but not enough time nor understand even love what they have

 

The poor has alot of appreciation of what Life they want but dont have enough money to get what they can get .

 

Hence the creation of Brand or can I use the term loosely "benchmark" to signified they have made it in life.

I wonder if we go back in time what would a branded bullock cart be like .. perhaps like would be simplier as they say when blackberry and apple were fruits ...

Well, not that far back please hahaha. But agreed life was easier when fruits were fruits hahaha

 

 

 

sometimes even Boss has big small eyes and I don't mean the Merc old E class.

 

Always say this guy has a merc and rich so don't need to give increment..

 

But if someone drives a extended COE merc, and get this kind of treatment, I think the boss must go IMH to be treated..

It will be good for city drive as the engine is tuned like diesel.

 

Low HP but high torque.

The day before i pumped spc 98 and the fc it gave me very good and it's same price as Esso 5000 after discount..

 

I was getting around 580-600km full tank in Esso 5000

 

Now SPC 98 is able to drive me around 750km full tank

 

Can't be difference so much ba?

I read that new BMW X1 will come with Aisin gearbox instead of ZF? why ah?

 

All FWD platform, i.e.UKL, is running on Aisin GB.

 

2 series GT already running on Aisin GB.

Hmmm...I didn't make comparison between 98 vs 95 spc

I pumped 95 full tank..meter showing lower side and over 900km instead of usual higher

Maybe redline abit more lately.
