Thanks. Damn nice!

Not bad:)

I got it better today. Tried about 10 times got 4 times right..hahahaha

It takes practice, I am still practicing on it. LOL.

So far I still need a few times to have it open but better than initially where wife ask why I am doing exercise behind the car.

Takes practice but I am getting there too!

That’s good! hahaha

hahahaha..... she’ll have to do the workout with you too..hehehe..

So far, I’ve gotten better with it. The trick is to lift your leg up higher and do a swift in-out action. And I’ve been enjoying the ride each day! Only issue I have is to stop staring at the rims:(

Oh, and I just discovered a couple of things which I think I should highlight it for potential buyers. Firstly, during purchase, my SE told me my insurance comes with $600 excess. But when I received the insurance Cover Note upon collection, it is actually $1,600 excess. The SE later clarified the $600 excess was for the A3, not A4:(. She said she made a mistake.

Secondly, I was told the A4 model is a B9 model. But when I was cleaning the car yesterday, I saw a sticker pasted inside the car, that states “Typ B8/8W”. Does it mean the car is actually a B8 model? Can anyone enlighten me on this?

Thanks.

Where did you find the sticker?

Where did you find the sticker?

Once you opened the driver’s door, you will be able to see 2 stickers. One is pasted on the painted sill beside your accelerator pedal. The other is pasted on the door at the bottom part of the opening. I try upload photos later.

Typ 8W is correct.

In Audi, that's their internal designation, Typ 8 usually refers to the A4.

A4 B5 = Typ 8D

A4 B6 = Typ 8E/H

A4 B7 = Typ 8E/H (What people call the B7 as a heavily facelifted or revised B6)

A4 B8 = Typ 8K

A4 B9 = Typ 8W

Ahhh..I see, thanks for enlightening.

Guys, need some advice here. I know the day running lights (DRL) cannot be switched off in most newer vehicles that come with it. But in my previous ride, at least when I stopped for a short while to run a fast errand, the DRL went off when I switched gear to P and left the engine and aircon on. Once I engaged to D, the DRL came on.

But with the A4, the DRL is perpetually switched on. I’ve been reading the manual and fiddling with the lights setting but I cannot find any function to configure the DRL? Am I missing something or is there any way I can get help?

Thank you.

There is a switch for you to turn to the left if I remember correctly to turn off the light. It is on the light switch.

Oops, it is the headlight not the DRL light. sorry my mistake.

Why need to turn drl off?

Turned on for satki mmah...

Anw what is the rationale for turning off the lights in a car wash?

The car wash people request turn off. I think it may have been blinding them?

Generally DRL cannot be turned off.

Unless you go do some mods on it.

I know. With my previous ride, the DRL could not be turned off too. Especially when gear was engaged in D/R. However, at least when the car was stopped for a while, and gear was engaged in P with the engine still running, the DRL was off.

In the case of the A4, it doesn’t work like that. It’s perpetually on!

Now new cars are all like that.
