JX83 3rd Gear June 7, 2016 Share June 7, 2016 to be honest I don't think City and Civic NA have significant difference in term of perform, specious, and handling, however its price has significant different. therefore I suggest stick on City unless you are keen to Civic TC Ya I mean that he is more keen on the TC than the NA.. Lol.. ↡ Advertisement
josephkalaivanar 1st Gear June 7, 2016 Share June 7, 2016 Wow, you guys sure have lots of faith in Honda to be able to book this car without seeing it in real life?Drove a JDM Accord CL7A for several years. Very good ride that. More or less if you can see some online reviews and images of Honda cars which you like, it is quite 'safe' to buy sight unseen if there was no other choice but to do so. Honda are really sticking it to Toyota...and Toyota is trying to strike back (see the C-HR trying to compete with the Vezel).

josephkalaivanar 1st Gear June 7, 2016 Share June 7, 2016 (edited) The best part is that our Thai friends are already doing some serious mods on the Civic RS. I mean just with a racechip alone without any exhaust or air filter mods, the bhp and torque have been increased Original 173bhp increased to 195bhp. Added 40++nm torque to about 259nm. Imagine with an aftermarket air filter and exhaust mod, this car will go in excess 200+bhp and close to 300nm. Which is quite similar to my current ride - a modded pocket rocket Jetta Sports I think the CVT should be able to handle that extra. desboo 1st Gear June 7, 2016 Share June 7, 2016 (edited) The SE I've spoken to was saying that model change or color change is possible with a $2k fee. It should be stated in the agreement that you signed. My SE told me about the $2k fee too, but also added a comment on change of model must be ex-stock. But still worth a try to talk to the SE again. I think Toyota spends more time on NVH aspects trying to keep cabin quietness and harshness to minimum levels.

Zxcvb Turbocharged June 7, 2016 Share June 7, 2016 Wow, you guys sure have lots of faith in Honda to be able to book this car without seeing it in real life? It's 2016 liao bro... Unlike our parents time have to bring us to car showrooms to see new cars, nowadays we have websites, youtube, instagram and so on to view everything that is to know. Some of the youtube reviews from other countries are very spot on. We may even know more technical details than the sales advisors. http://paultan.org/2016/06/07/spotted-2016-honda-civic-in-malaysian-showrooms/ I'm heading to JB again soon to view the latest Honda Civic this weekend. Nearest Honda dealer from causeway is along tebrau near Shell and BHP station.

Jiex 2nd Gear June 7, 2016 Share June 7, 2016 normally those age above 40s have faith in Honda, however those youngsters cannot imagine because they never experienced Honda's glory era I had own a DC5 before which was scrapped earlier this year. I do agree that Honda cars in general are pretty good but definately there are hits and misses. It's 2016 liao bro... For me, still prefer to see the actual thing, molest it, test drive before making a decision.

Meloble 2nd Gear June 8, 2016 Share June 8, 2016 That's the diff btw cam-phasing and cam-shifting VVT. Both the 1.8L in the Altis and the R18 in the Civc 1.8 are Cam phasing. They are not performance based Cam Changing Design that was on the older B16/B18s and the newer K20 (Type R models Only). Even K20 on Civic 2.0 and Integra 2.0 Type S are all Cam Phasing design and not the performance Cam changing sort from VTECs of yore. ↡ Advertisement
