Actually, I would expect that many people who were earning around 2k 10 years ago would be earning over 5k now.

Yes, many but not all.

A HDB cost 200k 10 years ago now is around 500k.

The 5k income people need to consider this also.

I believe many SG plate owner will give up driving if COE stay at this high.

This few round of COE bidding already show that demand is weak even with 3 weeks interval and year end.

Maybe those 2k 10 yrs ago people already bought flats at 200k. So now sitting on 300k paper gain.

Huat Ah!!!

If ppls still can afford a 500k (2.5 time) HDB which in 10 yrs ago was 200k, what made us think that ppls cant afford a car that is 100k (2 time only) now when 10 yrs ago is 50k?

We may see this in Sat News Paper to attract buyers.

Altis - $99,999

Mazda 3 - $98,999

Jazz - $98,999

Elantra - $89,999

K3 - $91,999

Accent/Mit Attrage - $79,999

no joke, $99,999 for Altis is indeed possible now.

based on BM's latest price for the cheapest Altis, the listed price is $106,888.

this is b4 the $2k celebratory discount, in-house finance n insurance rebates.

of course, there will also b "on the spot" discount!! [thumbsup]

but still, pls don't commit jz yet... hor hor hor... merry x'mas!!! [;)]

Anybody wanna rent car from June to December next year?

I need something, still waiting for used cars to come down, wifey pressuring,

But dun wanna pull the trigger on used just yet - with the COE trending down, I feel will be doing far better in March / April period

Or maybe someone is looking at buying now, and I can take over their car coming close to end of life?

Where are the resident fear mongers who keep insisting that COE prices will never drop?

They will come back before the next bidding cycle in "2016 Jan, 1st COE Bidding Exercise".

Don't want them to come out. These people mostly likely those who just bought. If a lot of them then COE should go up.

This time round this thread so quiet and COE deflate.

Quite close at $101K for Altis Classic 6-bid Non-Guaranteed

Add $1.6K for leather seats

Add $2K for 6-bid Guaranteed with trade in

You don't know how the dealers make their $$$?

Bad weather or good weather - they will make money as long as COE quota is high. (Talking about whole industry and not specific makes).

AD can just advertise whatever price they want just to attract buyer.

When you reach their showroom asking about the price.

They will told you condition apply.

their pricelist before COE result is 103k. Theoretically, when COE is 4k cheaper now, the next price should be 99k unless their initial 103k has already factored in the drop in COE price in advance

With more COEs available, it will be extremely foolish for anyone to buy a Altis this month or the next
