Hachi 3rd Gear December 31, 2015 Share December 31, 2015 I am thinking, can the policy change to entice individual buyers. Examples, alternate months for self bidders. In this case, it will truly reflect what the market wanted to pay for the current COE in the current economy climate, of course the catch is by cold hard cash. Unused COE can roll over to another month for ADs to bid as high as they want. This will create a check and balance and it would come down to a more realistic price. Of course it may be simplistic for me to say that.I am thinking, no one in the right would pay >50k for COE. Only Big Players can bid as high as they want and move the sale. They uses their corporate account and bids for 100 COEs, they have no qualm in bidding high as they are not the one paying it, in fact high loan means higher interests and commission.

Kia7200 5th Gear December 31, 2015 Share December 31, 2015 Mid of Jan is the road show. But when most ppl believe coe will drop more next yr, the chances of ppl willing to pay a 59k for cat A to guarantee their coe will be lesser except for those ti Kong kia or ah chia Kia. Hence I'm quite sure with several factors like more quota, recession, higher interest rate will cause the coe to drop and drop

Nlatio Turbocharged December 31, 2015 Share December 31, 2015 quoted your words... we shall see. i would think the AD will at least let it drop 1 more time b4 car show... haha... 2 types of strategy they will use.... either way, they will have things to tell people to buy.. 1. COE higher. .. agent tell customer, coe going higher, buy NOW... 2. COE lower... agent tell customer, coe alreasy rock bottom, best time to buy, else late go up will regret... Left or right, still win.... kekekekek
Vyeron 4th Gear December 31, 2015 Share December 31, 2015 AD sure wants it to go up. Current downward trend will suggest potential buyers to wait and see, hoping for lower COE. But if 1st bid up, ADs can sell easier by giving perception of higher COE trend for upcoming months. Also with such strong promo on Dec'15, i guess COE to go up by 1k each. ↡ Advertisement
