He is quite pushy according to many people who went there before.

I remember when they first opened at Wheelock it was like their pinacle moment, huge crowds great displays then after that things just turned from there. I ask him the price on the larger models then and he gave me the "you sure you can afford look?"

There is another die cast shop below Adelphi but the prices is mind boggling easily 700 plus for a 1:18 scale forecast model

I only got that kind of attitude from the old boss only. He talked straight in the face whether I can afford to buy, and I bought one at the spot in front of him.

The one at Adelphi sells those kind of high end hand build resin sealed models, on top of those normal models, which are more expensive. But I don't buy those kind of models, as they are sealed (non openable) and overpriced. I only collect those openable models. I'm a regular there too.

Used to be into collecting 1:18 diecast, Macross, GITS and some other Jap stuff.  Now stopped already, only recently bought a couple of valks (still prefer SDF, DYRL and Frontier storylines and valk. Let's see what Macross bring next year).

Now collecting plants like orchids and hoyas, balcony turning into jungle liao.

I still have these diecasts and Valks hidding my my house and taking up plenty of space!

Anybody have similar hobbies? :)

fellow macross collector here as well :)

my collection includes yamato1/48 VF-1S/1J , 1/100 VF-1 valks as well destriod and tomahawk

Last location was next to OG building, can't remember the building name. Grew up with the shop, but work and family take up most of my time. I usually shop online these days. I know the owner and the uncle from young. After my 2nd kid was born I didn't have time to go down for the shopping. Most of my toys are from there
