Swiber

Recommended Posts

$3.26bil NPL is 1.1%

So total loans is about $300bil

$23bil exposure to O and G sector.

Thats less than 10%

Sab sab swuey lah.

Piyush's job is intact.

Yeah, NPL don't sink banks but looking at the way they handle Swiber, it should creep up over the next few quarters. Edited by Voodooman

He got so many analysts and consultants and economists

under him and not one of them saw this? How much does he pay them?

If he has to come here for expert information I think he should

at least pay MCF for it. Just half of what he pays his staff will do.

:D

That's why He gets to stay in Sentosa ⛵️( yacht) and we stay in Mainland with address like BLK ................# - LIm Ah Beng Road

Swiber receives claims totalling US$99 million

.....

SOC said that it has since written to notify both ONGC and Punj Lloyd that their calls on the bank guarantees were wrongfully made. On Aug 3, SOC filed several petitions in the relevant court for injunctions against the payment of these bank guarantees by the banks; on Aug 4, the court granted an interim order instructing the banks to hold back on any payment until the next hearing date for the applications for injunctions (Aug 11).

Got dignity and integrity. Both..

Just like you watch IpMan movie, when he fights, he will close the door. So nobody knows

When the opponent loses, he will say thank you for giving chance.

Oil and gas loans 'a worry, not a crisis' for banks

.....

Standard & Poor's credit analyst Ivan Teo expects a "gradual deterioration" of oil and gas loans in the coming months, largely due to defaults among support service firms.

When more and more and more worries come onboard, then these will become crisis ...

Now, they just want to assure normal ppl that it's ok, while they tried frantically to rescue at the background ...

Not so easy especially when oil price remains low and this is a world economic issue ...

it will be deem irresponsible to cause chaos and panic...

its a bit like when things goes wrong, the people would like to think its under control

But in the background, everyone is scurrying to find a fixed.

I remember there was a news leak of retrenchment.

The news hit the headlines. Back then there were no internet.

So the spin doctors from the top 3 mfg came and gave the perception that there is no retrenchment. Look at the sat classified. we are still hiring. When you dealt deep into the ads, it was nothing more then generic job ads for workers. That is to prevent creditors from zooming in.

By the next week, retrenchment hit. The press was deem to be in cahoots with the company. The spoke person then admit that IF they had let on the truth, it would be even more chaotic and the dent on the economy would be even greater.

Gave new meaning to unloading stocks at a faster paces..  [crazy]

National Day mah, so prices will go up due to patriotic reasons :)

But once the dust settle down after ND, price may go down ....

Like I mentioned earlier, DBS price went down immediately after National Day ...

now at 0.8% lower at 14.92...

Could we see price lower than 14.80?

Maybe ....
