Wow. You guys are nuts la. Honestly, just take the refund and run with it. domt trust Samsung anymore then don't buy Samsung but there's no need to push people in a corner.

You mean after getting a free handset, customer confidence in Samsung will suddenly be restored? Honestly, the only way it will be restored is it they can consistently show that their next generation of phones have no issues.

Some people very greedy. Just go look at Samsung FB.

All owners should get a voucher for Note 8.

While waiting for it's release a T-loan S7 tide them over, which to be returned in good condition with the voucher in exchange for the Note 8.

This will salvage their reps.

I don't think their reputation is so badly damaged that they need to do all these la. Probably cost them more if they do that. Many people will still buy S8 and Note 8.

I share the same thoughts. There will always be fanboys/gals. And consumers who see the funtionality of a product before buying.

Imo, this program already not too bad. See their fb page, really alot of hungry ghost who seek to profit from the refund. Less those who really bought the lens kits (which I doubt there are a lot), how can you seek refund from free gifts?

Really ugly. And like I mentioned earlier, no way I'll pay for the telco services if I'm samsung. Reason is, customer already paying subsidised price when sign up plan. If really want to calculate, I'll pay your early termination plus the price of phone paid. Not rrp. If Samsung really so that, people will realise they are the one who lose out.

60 inches CRT siboh? Lol

Not good with such stuff. What would be your choice? Exchange with the S7 edge or cash?

I also don't understand the concierge part. I paid a monthly fee or a one time fee? They refund $38 one time then my subsequent bill will less $38? Anyone with this scheme?

Cash.

Cash is a good option. Reputable shops like mobile square are selling galaxy edge for 850 only with local warranty and all that.

Unless you die die want Samsung concierge again then you have to check if buying from these kind of hand phone shops are ok.

If opting for exchange, it is not a straight Note 7 exchange to S7 Edge. Other than the physical exchange of hand sets, Samsung will pay back the price differential plus adding in a carrot to allow a Samsung hand set upgrade every 12 months.

You can get an S7e for $850 now. So after the refund, you would have "earned" $318. Better than the $250 they give for exchanging for a S7e. Those who chose refund, Samsung concierge also refunded right?

Samsung will also refund the full retail value of the following original Samsung Galaxy Note7 accessories in exchange for the return of these accessories:

Galaxy Note7 S View Standing Cover
Galaxy Note7 Clear View Cover
Galaxy Note7 LED View Cover
Galaxy Note7 Leather Cover
Galaxy Note7 Clear Cover
Galaxy Note7 Keyboard Cover
Galaxy Note7 Back Pack

original accessories still can get refund, not bad.

I agree with your maths. But like what I say, it is not just the S$250 refund. They also allow affected customers a free Samsung handset upgrade every 12 months. So, if you think the additional $68 refund is more than the free hand set upgrade, you draw your own conclusion.

Since when got free handset upgrade every 12 months? You talking about the Samsung Concierge? That one is $300 off a new Samsung handset every 12 months right? And still got to return the old phone.

I may be wrong. Just wait for the full details of the Exchange/Refund programme to be announced.

Full details out already. No free upgrade or other things. Just the S7e+$250 for your Note 7. Those with concierge will get their concierge transferred to their new S7e. That is all.
