ins1dious Turbocharged October 16, 2017 Share October 16, 2017 Here are some of the pics from an open archery meet held at Punggol. Wish I can share some of the other pics. Machunk28 4th Gear October 16, 2017 Share October 16, 2017 Basket, thinking of equipment again, lol. Anyone uses Sony A7 series with Voigtlander 35mm f1.4 lens? I like the look of this combo and it'slightly smaller/lighter than DSLR. on A7 on Summilux Pre ASPH 35/1.4

Machunk28 4th Gear October 17, 2017 Share October 17, 2017 Great combo! Thanks. B&W on this combo is pretty "glowy" on the subject.
inlinesix Hypersonic October 17, 2017 Share October 17, 2017 Why not just get RX1?
Machunk28 4th Gear October 17, 2017 Share October 17, 2017 Why not just get RX1? Less flexibility on focal length as RX1 is a fixed lens body. No on-body EVF too.
inlinesix Hypersonic October 17, 2017 Share October 17, 2017 Less flexibility on focal length as RX1 is a fixed lens body. No on-body EVF too. If you use only 1 lens most of the time, why not? The only downside is f2.
Machunk28 4th Gear October 17, 2017 Share October 17, 2017 If you use only 1 lens most of the time, why not? The only downside is f2. Still prefers the flexibility of the A7 with the EVF. If it's f1.4, will definitely consider it but they must find a way to shrink the size first. Maybe a built-in speedbooster or something.

ChristopherChia 4th Gear October 18, 2017 Share October 18, 2017 What do you mean shrink the size? Cos if the lens had a big aperture of f1.4, the size and weight of the lens would increase tremendously.

ChristopherChia 4th Gear October 18, 2017 Share October 18, 2017 My fav local length is 35mm. Besides the heavy full frame setup, I got the m4/3 setup, EM10 and 17.5mm f0.95 lens (actually not that light also haha).
inlinesix Hypersonic October 18, 2017 Share October 18, 2017 1 of the biggest plus point for RX1 is discreet. A lot of ppl will not notice it at all.

Volvobrick Hypersonic October 31, 2017 Share October 31, 2017 I bought my last compact camera at least 10 years ago. No wonder Nikon has to close 8t compact camera factory....
Victor68 Turbocharged October 31, 2017 Share October 31, 2017 I think compact camera with non inter-changeable lens will be faced out soon with handphone camera getting better. Whether it is mirrorless or otherwise, the big item is the lens. Till technology can replace lens, the camera will stay more or less the same.
therock Supersonic November 2, 2017 Author Share November 2, 2017 Bros Any good places to get 35mm film locally? I recently got a gift of a Nikon FA - I would to put that and my FM2, FE2, FG through their paces :) ↡ Advertisement
