Amendment from earlier post

The stock rim width is 7inch, not 7.5inch

Means 225mm is the widest tyre width you can put on

Hi guys, just collected ride two weeks ago. Anybody knows where can we adjust headlight sensitivity (at auto mode)? Sometimes at broad daylight, it'll light up even under a slight passing shelter...it can be annoying to the front driver...

I think there is someone doing this service in Carousell. Eclipse Cross / Outlander Mitsubishi Hidden Functions Recode for S$40 https://sg.carousell.com/p/187344683

Hi guys, any idea if C&C does car seat cleaning? As my dog accidentally peed on the rear seat and some of it went into the seat and the smell is lying at the underside of the seat (require to remove the seat for proper cleaning).

Has anyone done the 10k servicing and can advise on the optional air con filter, anti bacterial spray and engine sludge maintenance? Don't want sh to just take the service personnel word

Hi Gala,

Think aircon filter and anti bacterial spray can be done every 20k km and quite easy to diy if you wishes.

Same for engine sludge maintenance which can be done also every 20k km but this one need AD or ws to do it and regularly for the rest of your car onwership if you are anal about it.

Cheers.

Richard

When I removed the protective covering of the Smartphone Link Display of my new Eclipse Cross, I noticed from the edge of the display that there appears to be *another* matt protector already applied to the display. Does anyone know whether this is the case, or am I mistaken?

Am asking because if I were to purchase a glass screen protector for the display, need to know whether there is a second matt screen protector that I also need to peel off before applying. In fact, if there is already such a second layer, I may not even bother getting a separate glass screen protector online.

Folks

Can I confirm if our Eclipse here in Singapore, the engine has both Port and direct injection to mitigate the carbon issue of many DI engine?

Thanks

the CVT is originally for outlander 2.4L with output torque ~222NM,

with the CVT rated torque 250NM at least there is still 10% safety margin on outlander 2.4L.

As EC sharing the same platform i believe they just use back the same CVT drivetrain.

Actual there is another 6sp AT gearbox means for Outlander 3.0L with output torque 292NM.

unfortunately this will cost more.

Following the reading material trigger me to explore the info concerning the CVT:

(translated from Taiwan webpage)

As a key global car model for Mitsubishi, it is also a newly developed new generation Down-sizing direct injection turbocharged engine.

Bore X stroke: 75X84 This engine was developed from 4A91 (clot plus, Smart for-four)

Compression ratio 10:1 General gasoline can be used in Japan, but it is recommended to use 98 gasoline in Taiwan.

The oil supply system is direct injection + port injection, a total of 8 injection nozzles, the whole process uses the port injection, and the direct injection into the cylinder is carried out under high load.

This is a very good design, and the subsequent power modification is also more effective.

Direct injection high pressure oil supply system using DENSO, injection pressure 20MPa

Intake and exhaust oil pressure control variable valve timing and head.

In addition, we can see that the integrated head section integrated cylinder head is the same as the VW EA888, which has better thermal efficiency.

At the same time reduce components to reduce costs and reduce engine weight and volume

The turbine is IHI's single-hole turbine with an electronically controlled pressure relief valve that delivers excellent performance up to 1.5 bar.

This engine maximum output is controlled due to the small CVT gearbox (JATCO 7) maximum limit.

There is still a good potential for retrofitting (this I not sure what it means still have potential).

Dual injection fuel supply system with integrated head section with built-in cylinder head and electronically controlled turbine pressure, all designed in the same way as EA888 on GTI.

The design is a very good engine.

this Taiwan webpage mentioned the CVT is Jatco CVT7 which is wrong (CVT7 torque rating <200NM for small vehicle).

The correct should be Jatco CVT8.

Jatco CVT8 have 2 type

type 1: using steel belt for up to 250NM

type 2: using chain belt for up to 380NM

The Mit EC is using type1 steel belt, which is sadly the case.

Of course unlikely we floored pedal to metal all the times, hence the reliability should able last till 10 years. As this EC still new on the road, we have no feedback yet concerning this CVT.

@Contipro....veri cheam....can say in layman terms wat u mean ar bro? Dun buy tis car ar cos engine chui?

my view:

modification increase boost to increase output HP and Torque, the GB lifespan will be shorten.

because current engine output torque 250NM already at the limit of this CVT GB.

@contipro bro wat is GB? So as long as we dun tune or do modification its ok n the car will las 10 years n no engine failure?
