For RWD, pull handbrake & wait at traffic light.

With handbrake, can mod BBK.

Electronic Parking much easier, just press once enough,no need to pull, anyway most Electronic Parking Brake came with Parking Hold Function....Mod Brakes usually just Mod front Caliper, seldom do the Rear...

Elec brake also can bbk. I also don't understand why ppl want handbrake. So far I drive and yank handbrake like less than 5 times in over 10+ yrs of driving.

i watched carwow in depth review of this new 3 series. so much technology packed in one sedan. while i believe all these techs are great to have,it can also be a nightmare if it goes wrong.still, its a beautiful car and best handling in its class(some might beg to differ)

During the carwow test, the first car's auto reversing function already went wonky.

I shudder at the thought of the touchscreens on the latest Audis going kaput, as every function is inside.

Seems like most car manufacturers are heading in this direction.

Stopped on a steep slope with cars behind how? I used to move off without using the hand brake when I was younger. Now less guts. Haha.

Nowadays many cars are equipped with hill start assist function.

yes..seems Volvo and Audi are heading towards button-less dashboards with extensive screens as main control for all functions.it might look seamless but the horror if something were to go wrong.and to be honest, won't age well in time.

I speculate that it's cheaper for the manufactuer to lump controls into a screen than to produce individual switches and dials. It's also easier for the assembly line I reckon.

However, to me at least, to dive into the screen menu just to adjust the aircon temp or change radio station don't make safety sense to me cos one needs to take his eyes off the road.

Also, how long will those screens last in our heat and humidity? Do we keep our handphone and tablets for 5 years?

BMW is striking a good balance in this aspect - major climate and sound system controls are still on traditional switches and dials.

easier to cut cost and have a ipad or andriod connection to use for everything and replace the head unit.

Nowadays, everything also voice control.  No safety issue.

I believe in temperate countries, car easier spoit than here.  No forgetting the temperature change over the years.
