But its no see sky cos its the part where porky can't lift up for sky to peek. So yes, now i abit confused. Cos cheek definitely can see sky. Chin of pork is called what if not jowl? Other than chin? Or that's it? Its called chin? 😋😂😂 Why would u call the jowl 不见天。when the pig looks up its exposed to sun mah. simple logic must tell u what he said is incorrect. The guy is mistakened. Belly is most common for char siew. Then it's Jowl which some use as well. Maybe they call it bu jian tian as well. But i believe the real meaning is that its supposed to be meat from the armpit. But these cuts are quite close to one another.
Lala81 Hypersonic March 14, 2020 Share March 14, 2020 The real reason why 不见天 is unique. Its like loin meat. Its an area that's not worked. But yet its somewhat fatty. So it's both tender and fatty enough but not as fat as your belly. But as per the above image, these parts are all close to each other. Just depend on how the butcher trim the carcass.

Which I guess includes the armpit. Sometimes bit hard to visualise when u just see it at the butcher. Or part of what Americans call Boston butt/pork shoulder. It looks heart shaped.

Basically what is your trapezius muscle on a human. 胛心 looks like a heart or a coconut. The butcher showed me before.
