Hokay.....

From the way you said it, sounded to me that you did not really want this watch, but only bought it cos it's the only one available at official RRP.

If you do resell this piece in future to fund the watch that you really wanted, you will hardly find any takers unless you price it well below official RRP. So that's a loss.

You could have put that loss into the premium for the model that you really really liked and wanted to get, in the first place.

I thought that was apparent enough.

Bro,

Got your point. Actually to what you described. Any watch that you wear it and after that you wanna re-sell, it will be hard to get a price with profit in many case unless it is a PP or a rare Rollie.

I am acceptable to the case. Wife find the YM nice and thus just buy it with no intent to sell. Our Green Hulk is just purchased at below 10k but also hard to want to sell it. To think of making money with these pieces, might as well keep them and invest somewhere.

Maybe should share your experience with me out there as in what PP to get as I never fancy the Nautilus and Aquanaut at all. In fact the pilot you got was nice to me

I didn't mention anything about profit.

Please read my post again bro.

Buying a watch without much resale value is definitely fine if you really like the watch a lot... I myself do that all the time.

But from what you said, it seems to me that you do not really like the watch and you bought it only because of availability and RRP.

My point is, why not just pay premium for the watch that you really want instead of buying and selling watches that you do not really want, taking a hit on the price... Cos it comes up to be about the same $$$$ AND you get to own and wear the watch you really want.

BTW I think the pilot calatrava was someone else....I do not own any Patek.

I clearly got your post bro. Just that I understand that and I also justify to you why I buy it for my wife with a simple reason, she also like it. Then I am the one that mention that I am not looking at profit cos I never sell my watches over these years.

BTW, do PM me how much did you pay for your PP Pilot......

No need to justify anything bro, I am nobody. As long as you or wife really like the watch, it's great.

I don't own any Patek, you must have mistaken me for someone else..

I highly recommend Camille Fournet straps. You can customize them as well. There is no official CF store in Singapore but I know a shop in Mandarin Gallery that carries it. Otherwise, Tokyo has a few CF shops.

I agree with you on the fella there.

I do enjoy the CF service at Ginza. Other than straps, their wallets, bags and other leather goods are all good.

I am thinking about that... low SES ppl like me will just check carousell and see which sellers has physical shops & go there look see look see... Heard NOMAD watch works not bad? Anyone bought stuff from them before?

This has nothing to do with SES lah.

panerai goes best with its original rubber or calf leather strap.

easily obtainable from many places.

nomad quality and price match.

Thats all i would say.
