How Liverpool compare with 2 other great teams in EPL history. Arsenal invincibles 2004 n Man United 1999 treble winners. On paper that United team doesn’t look that great but the 3 trophies put them in the record books👍

Wah... Do you know what is this based on? Have come across different articles citing different criteria to rank the value of teams, be it on player's value, popularity, revenue, etc.

I took it from one of the British tabloids though I can't remember which one. Anyway, these values are subjective and varies from different sources. Some reports always put the 2 Spanish giants on top but not this one. Believe it is from transfer value of each player in the senior squad.

Yup, have always read that the 2 spanish teams are the most valuable.

But as PL fans, it's good to see PL teams being valued higher. Let's hope EPL can attract the top players there ahead of La Liga in future.

Banned from Champions League for 2 seasons and points likely to be docked the EPL season.

They appealling,  not their fans.

but i hope they succeed, if not next time who else gonna invest in football clubs.

chances for small clubs to rise up will be kill off forever.

give small clubs like wolf leicester sheff etc even another 30 years in the epl, they are not going to have the same income as those traditional big clubs.

If English FA deduct points back dated to the day UEFA started investigation in 2018.

Liverpool would be champion in 2018/19 as we lost only 1 point..... :XD:

First, and most damaging, were emails and accounting documents which appeared to show that City’s owner, Sheikh Mansour, of the Abu Dhabi ruling family, was mostly funding the huge, £67.5m annual sponsorship of the club’s shirt, stadium and academy by his country’s airline, Etihad.

One of the emails, from City’s then chief financial officer, Jorge Chumillas, headed “Cashflow”, stated that Mansour’s own company vehicle, the Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG), would be paying £57m as a “contribution to 13/14 sponsorship fee”, while only £8m was Etihad’s “direct contribution”.

Real airlines sponsorship 8 million.

Owner's own pocket put in 57 million.

How to appeal like that?

I totally agree with u and I’ve posted many times on this.

The traditional clubs by virtue of them being successful earlier have built up reputation, $, ability to attract players n fans so they arrived at the party early and thus wants to close the doors of the party and not allow anyone else in ie the “old boys club”.

It’s like the new car brands trying to get equal footing or at least try to be competitive with the Toyotas, Hondas, Benz, BMWs etc, if they don’t throw $ to start up, how are they ever going to compete with the established brands. U don’t see the big car companies try to close the gates on the newcomers do u? So why are the big clubs so fearful?

Having said that, I agree that some kind of financial prudence is required so FFP rules have been drawn up and need to be adhered to and so if City were guilty, then they hv to face the music. I just hope that the same rules apply to the big teams like Real, Barca, Milan etc but somehow I feel the politics of “old boys club” favouritism rules.

This write up by Martin Samuel of Daily Mail sums up what I mean:

I see the fans rejoicing are those who support the traditional elite clubs which I have labelled as “old boys clubs” They want a monopoly of winning silverware and dominating football. Any gatecrasher deserves to be punished.

City is the biggest gatecrasher who came to the party and stole the chiobu by splashing $. I would rather have risen to the challenge by re-impressing the chiobu with my charm, wit and capabilities and if I can do that, it would be the biggest victory for me instead of winning by default when the gatecrasher gets disqualified😁
