Now 2015 XF going for $189K. The incoming XE should be using the same ford engine (ingenium petrol not available yet) and xf gearbox (2014 edition 2 version).

Attractive price. Too bad the XF is a bit too big for me. Looking forward to the XE.

From Wearnes; hope it helps.

Thanks! So the $203k is for the diesel or the petrol?

The equipment level seems to be the same for both diesel n petrol (prestige)

Between XE and 3 series, reviews favor the former. If you ask me to choose I will take the jag cos it rides better and has a better interior. It is slower and FC will be worse.

Between the XE and C class, I may take either one. The Merc for the best in class interior and smoothness plus better FC and dash speed. The jag for its best in class ride and a good interior. The weight and inferior FC of the jag compared to the Beemer and Merc is the only drawback. Resale value is always a concern too. New cat on the block........ Will have whistles going for it.

However as many have pointed out. If you shop at this bracket, you should not care too much about FC or resale.

If really concerned, take the Lexus or the Infiniti.

😬

Already July lor, why bother to reserve unless there is a cheaper launch price. You really think they so atas. Anybody can go molest the ride days after the launch.

For secondhand market, will it be selling based on the retail or retail-OT price?

Taking an example if 1 yr old depreciates 30k, how much would it be selling at, 230k-30k=200k, or 189k-30k=159k?

Dayum. The 2.0D looks like the real pick of the range.

Yep. As fast as the petrol and much better FC.

Can floor the whole day. Still at least 10km per liter.

😜

Merc faster in dash speed?

On paper pre face lift 320 is rated 7.6sec while C200 is rated 7.3sec. The XE indicated as 7.8 or 7.7 for the variant. Edited by Piyopico
