Formula One 2020

Williams Racing F1 had been such a household name since the late 70s to the 2000s where top notch drivers would have been foolish not to drive for Williams during their golden years.

Now, news are Williams are considering to sell the F1 team.

Poor strategies over the years.

- Have lower tier drivers to drive. Inexperienced and unable to provide good feedback to improve the car. Don't get me wrong. Some of the drivers are exceptional, but the team decided to pay less for drivers to save money, hence the team gets what they pay for.

- Claire Williams are no where near the capability nor the experience to run a F1 team. They should have just hire a good Team Principal rather than keeping it as a family-run business.

- Being last in the grid means no major sponsors would want to sign endorsement deals. Without major sponsors,  how big can the budget be?

- Apart from Team Principal, there are several key roles within F1.

- Technical Director

-Chief Aerodynamicist

- Reliable Engine partner

- Chief R&D

- Chief Designer and many more

It is a pity. I believe with 2021 season, Williams would actually stand a better chance to be promoted to midfield or better. I believe nails have been driven in so hard, it is almost impossible to return to its glorious days.

Williams could sell F1 team

LIkely to be rumour only.

I don't think Wolff want to go back to the era of Nico & Louis.

I almost had a chance to meet Susie when she was test driving for Williams.

Don't be too sure that it is a rumour. There is no smoke without fire.

And Toto Wolff is stepping down as Mercedes Team Principal for 2021 season, he will have no say for next year drivers' contract and only for  2020. If Daimler wants Vettel and Vettel accepts the contract, the deal is on!

I am wrong! Toto Wolff Aston Martin’s shares can be converted to Mercedes shares. Together with Lawrence Stroll, they could take over Mercedes F1 team as the major shareholders. What a twist!

haha ... whatever it takes

on a serious note, i believe covid has peaked and we have to move on to accept covid and continue to workaround it

until no more cases and everyone forget covid like sars until it reappear
