Beside boring, i lost faith in Ferrari redemption.

From Alonso to Vettel, Ferrari still haven't gone back to the top

Mercedes powered F1 cars clearly had a superior advantage against other F1 teams. Look at Hamilton's car flying across Turn 4 at Hungary GP, the car must be a beauty to drive around. Without a safety car and still have sufficient time to build a pit-stop to go for the fastest lap, there is no contention from the nearest rival.

It is a one team race, driver against driver of the same team for both  2020 constructor and driver's championship.

I feel for Max Verstappen, Alex Albon and Charles LeClerc having another year to play catch up to Bottas and Hamilton.

Ferrari has not been innovative in 2019 season. Their massive lack of pace come from them finding loopholes on the fuel flow rate to give their engine straight line speed boost. Because they can't do much to their engine this year, they are trying to find pace around the corners. If the mindsets of the R&D team is to exploit loop holes rather than to focus on new development, the war is lost even before it begins.

I read that engine development will freeze from 2021 onwards.

If Ferrari don't buck up, next 2 seasons gone case liao.

Boring Silverstone until the last 2 laps!!!

1. Lewis

2. Max

3. Le Clare

I watched the whole race.. The last 2 laps is the most exciting.. Especially the last lap where Hamilton tyre also delaminate. Imagine Hamilton tyre delaminate say 1 lap earlier, perhaps max verstappen would had win this race..

Turbocharged

If you want your kid to be an f1 driver, put him in go karts at a young age, make him learn the ropes, and when he's mature enough, pay $50m for a seat at one of the smaller teams, like one of the current drivers.... ( the one with a 100% spinning record in all qualifiers this season).

Racing Point have been penalized for copying Mercedes brake ducts design. Fined a total of Euro 400k fine an 15 championship points deduction (200k and 7.5 pts per car).  But it seems the brake ducts can continue to be used. Small fine probably doesn't hurt Lawrence Stroll, but the championship points deduction will.

And Nico Hulkenburg continue to stand in for Sergio Perez to drive for Racing Point at the 70th Anniversary British GP . Hope he doesn't get another sore neck and sit out of the race again! 😅

Formula One: Ferrari, McLaren appeal over 'too lenient' Racing Point sanction

Quote

SILVERSTONE, UNITED KINGDOM (AFP) - Ferrari and McLaren confirmed on Friday evening (Aug 7) that they plan to appeal against the FIA's stewards ruling on Renault's protest against the validity of Racing Point's 2020 cars.

They are expected to be joined by other teams unhappy at the outcome that saw Racing Point docked 15 points and fined 400,000 euros after upholding Renault's complaint that the Silverstone-based team was running using illegal parts.

Many teams said they feel the verdict announced on Friday morning ahead of opening practice at the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix was too lenient.
