This is also worrying.. it seems many ppl are in the delivery and Corona generated business... once Corona lifts,  there's gonna be lotsa jobless ppl too.. before the real economy ramps up to absorb them

once corona is over … not just food delivery and SDA lost their jobs

many people will also lost their job

in these 2 years … many companies have and had transformed … even a little and know what can be done “remotely” and what can be cut

it’s not going to be the same after corona

expectation had shifted … employer and employee … provider and customer

now many process are expected to be self-enrol self-pack QR code scanning etc

less human interaction = require fewer staff

there is no "better" way to do it .... clean and 1-chop ... 900 staff ....

and it's cheap .... 1-Zoom call ... done and move on

Definitely better than all that fake HR empathy stuff.  Come on, get cut, get conpensated, get on with it.  Buay song , employee just give letter and fire the company.  Sama sama lah.

yalor ... if to do it personally and onsite

must hire an external HR Consultant to do the firing ... then must provide assistance and counseling ... bla bla bla

then need to handle all the logistic and "cry papa cry mama" make a scene in the office 

1-zoom call ... settled ... else like need to spend another $1M to fire 900 staff ....

$900K goes to the HR & PR consultancy firm

🤔 I have seen using only email sort of retrenchment/sacking/resignation whatever you want to call it.
