I remember reading an article of how to set your faceid to unlock with mask on.

Where? Please share.

Don't tell me record your face ID with mask on?

Must wear same color mask everyday? Lol

Cannot. I have been trying it since March this year.

You mean you cannot reset your faceid wearing your mask? So that next time the passcode can recognise your face with your mask on? Lol.

That is the same with the iphone 12. The a14 chip is a supposed monster. Much higher benchmarks compared to the qualcomm chips. But the current flagship chips on the android side is no slouch also. And the iPhone Pro and 12 don't have high refresh screens. So overall experience is roughly the same.

But Samsung is selling a weaker Exynos chip outside of USA.

Yes. That's a major bugbear since the exynos chip is hottter and slower than Qualcomm.

But i believe the one tier down, newest S20 FE is only sold worldwide with the Qualcomm chip. Well my sis is buying for my dad, so i will check and see if it has an exynos inside. but i think according to reports, only snapdragon 865.

If i needed a higher end android phone right now, S20 FE is my pick.

Seems like SG will be selling S20 FE with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 which could be a good buy as compared to iPhone 12.

I bought the iPhone 12 Pro for my wife as her birthday gift. She was using iPhone 8, and a few noticeable upgrades were the camera especially night shots, ability to keep multiple apps running in the background, dispersion of heat and battery performance. The built quality is premium and heavy, but since most of us will be using a casing we wont be able to appreciate the finishes of the phone.

I myself am quite tempted to get the iPhone 12 mini as I have $200 NS uniqgift voucher that expires in March. Otherwise I think I will be using my iPhone 7 and see what they do for iPhone 13.

I got the iphone 12 because my iphone 7plus finally cracked when I twisted my ankle slightly on a fall.

I wanted to wait for the mini led screens... To me the biggest upgrade will probably be the new 4x durable screen... I did not buy applecare and am using it without a case. Lets see how long it last

Already got drop tests and scratch tests on youtube...

Don't think its anything out of this world. especially more shatter resistant = more scratch prone.

Hmm just change when u need to bah. The most major change from 11->12 is 5g and switch from lcd to oled.
Camera sensor and optics mostly similar to 11. Just slightly better computational aspect. Still don't have high refresh screen. A14 will be powering the iphones for at least iphone 13 generation.

It's almost guaranteed that 12->13 will have lesser changes compared to 11->12.

5+ inch screen is small... haha as we age, need bigger font! ha

Scratch resistance seems the same but shatter resistance seems to be very good. Will survive almost all falls from normal height.

I don't really care about hairline scratches. My old iphone 7 plus used without protection for 5 years also no "visibile" scratches...
