all data esim, the traffics are "re-routed" back to their own network ... 

i have tested 3 x popular VPN ... all work not more than 5-10 mins and then blocked ...

every time must cycle through different servers ... no point!

Try activating your VPN before turn on your phone in China. Once you turn on your phone before activating VPN, it is too late.

I was in China last week......  on Zero1, meaning SingTel, never had limitations even without VPN, although I have options of McAfee and PrivateVPN on my phone if needed.

Keep your phone on with VPN running in the background, just switch between flight mode on/off.

As soon as you turn flight mode off, VPN connects on signal.

Activate VPN before leaving Singapore, so that it is already active before it roams to China network

It may not work in PRC.

Just get a Simba card.

U r absolutely spot on!

With Zero1 and Eight both works without VPN on.. worse with VPN as Alipay got slow.. Didi got confused.. i TL un install VPN.. now basically all work as intended.

with Wifi basically the VPN cannot connect to their servers.. keep routing..

so in short very hard to use Very Pretty Nurse here..

Simba roaming works without VPN. Most VPN won't work. I PM you one that works (last time I was there) . Cannot say here openly in case you-know-who monitors and shuts it down.

May I ask, all these plans that include SG,  MY, TH, ID, does it mean that these total data are shared among these countries while data roaming? Like all bao inside?

So means if it's 588 GB, I can practically use 588 GB data roaming in Malaysia free? Or say I travel from SG to MY to TH, I don't need to do anything, it will just auto switch carriers and use the total given data, without extra charges?

Wah, if like that I also going to switch liao, all my lines are now 自由身liao.
