As usual our infrastructure currently have might not able to cope and support for new things. Like some carpark lots which was built last time also cannot support for current cars which is now bigger and longer.

Our MSCPs from engineering point of view should have catered 2x of potential max loading (maybe all lots parked with ICE car + x number of ICE cars loitering around), if worst case scenario is all EVs parked I think the building can hold since on average EVs are just around 50% heavier.

But obviously new MSCPs should update their loading specs and HDB needs to look at very old MSCPs and check if need to rebuild/reinforce.

Tesla’s switch to BYD batteries is achieving faster charging times.

....Both the BYD blade battery and CATL’s Kirin battery are lithium iron phosphate (LFP) however the BYD battery is able to charge at at a higher speed for the entire duration of charging....

Unable to read the whole article,  but it goes to show major infra upgrade is required to support major EV push.

He is just saying to the greens to fxxk off.

Airplane can't fly with heavy batteries. Only way to go green is to use green fuels like hydrogen or simi green kerosene but that cost at least 4x more and is energy intensive to produce. LPPL.

German govt, led by the inexperienced greens, are going crazy on anything green. They are going to f up the German economy.

I think Sunak in UK has also realized something along the same line, finally.

It is true green fuels this moment are prohibitively expensive but at some stage, we said that about everything until volumes increase on the back of early adopters. In the UK now insurance companies are walking away, increasing some premiums by 1000%, if they quote a renewal at all. I read one guy's policy went from ~GBP450 up to just less than GBP5k. They are walking away after realizing a new battery is anything from GBP10-50k and, likely, any accident with a knock to the chassis will require a replacement for "safety".
