Singapore Reckless Drivers Part XII

@Calvin8808

I'm on the last arrow head of 3 at the traffic junction when it turned amber, the defensive driving lesson I attended says speed up to cross the junction.  I'm unable to notice the car coming from the filter lane who came straight into my path. He's lucky my brake is effective!

If it were me, and the bugger didn't signal, I'd just accelerate and crash into the guy, then claim from him the whole front side...

Defensive driving gets us so far and avoids the hassle, yes. But the guy gets away scot-free, never learns his lesson and is emboldened to commit more of such acts in future, thinking guys like you will always "give way to him".

Way to go man...show us you did it!

So this is the cmi expressway merger 😂

jiak sai driver show finger upset for being horned

does not know how to use the acceleration to speedup and match speed of traffic .

came to a complete stop , waiting to join the expressway.

I was driving along the exit within PIE and Tampines St 31 this morning (08/06/2022) around 9am++. As you can see in the video, many vehicles pass while I wait at the exit. This vehicle plate number #SND6836D horn me unreasonably while I waiting to exit to PIE.

Now we know how farktard one was...time to dig a hole to bury one's head ya 😆

actually this driver thinks he is driving slowly and carefully but he should learn that -

if he stops like this at a merger, it is much harder to merge as he will be trying to merge by accelerating from a standstill, whereas if he merges while moving, it is easier to increase or decrease speed according to the (slow) lane traffic on the expressway ..

and stopping like this also means that there is a real chance of someone rear-ending him as practically no one expects anyone to stop there .. it is a dotted line and not a continuous line (like at a stop sign) ..

You raise a very valid point Sir... About using the same excuse to the police VS the insurance company.

For the police, they'll slap him with the fine or demerits, and then the bugger most likely will appeal using that excuse, and get the fine/demerits waived off or reduced.

For insurance, it works slightly differently (from experience) because you've got your own insurance guy who is fighting on your side to get maximum payout from the bugger's insurance...

It will be nice that if the insurance will fight on your side...many times you will realize that may not be true and you may not have a say...

In any case I will not dare to educate that errant driver by deliberately banging into him. Can claim cannot claim is one thing, having a repaired car is another that I wouldn't want. Unless my car left few months to scrap but even then I will just do it as side swipe so no one claim each other than bang his backside.

@Calvin8808

If bang, it will be his right rear, and base on my low profile he will flip.

No one wants an accident, i definitely don't want to go through the hassle.

I only consider myself lucky that I didn't hit him. Phew!

I've been looking at the pink tow truck and inside the tow truck. And ohhhh! Such an eye-opener! What nice and plush seats the tow truck has!

Honestly, if anyone have the clarity of thoughts and adequate reaction time, instinct will be to avoid any potential accident and harm to self and car occupant.

It's one thing to talk with bravado on how one to be the hero to "educate" these recalcitrant PHV drivers... It is another when most of us have more things to lose in life than them (presumably so judging from the way they drive).

I know what you mean Sir - I had this mentality at the start when I started driving. But these days, with the enormous numbers of dick drivers on the road, I am simply sick and tired of these idiots already. So if I see all the warning signs of a dick driver coming my way, and the road/weather/visual conditions are all set and good, I will just drive into the bugger and claim from him.

It's a good way to educate if you are willing to pay for own damage and maybe even his damage. The video will show that you didn't attempt to avoid collision and instead deliberately speed up.

I agree totally

This is a better way to educate

Take a look at the below 2 exhibits... see if you can find signs that I went for it deliberately...

Tried to, twice - as seen below - at the same junction. Close call, yes, but no cigar unfortunately...

----------

Video quality has been deliberately downgraded to obscure the plates of the dick drivers (and also because I have lodged a police report against said dick drivers).
Would anyone be able to tell that I "did not attempt to avoid a collision"?

Or is it that I had ultra-fast instincts to turn and press the horn at the same time?
