Granted, the new PM is not a flashy person in the first place but surely wearing formal shoes - no need designer label - would be more suited to the occasion? We don't wear running shoes with our office clothes right?

New PM purposely came in a very old (COE?) 7 series.... Jin humble. 

His staff must have tried very hard to find one in the fleet.

Went to see fireworks at Esplanade last evening.

Maybe have seen too many or more spectacular ones. 

Didnt feel it was worth the time or effort.    The road diversion and crowd control was pretty bad too.
