internals etc are all VAG bin. So stockists etc have plenty of parts.

But something like very simple, windscreen shatter from rock, bumper crack from collision. Are all the parts available at the stockist if the car is low volume or it's indent basis?

I see one tarraco every few months. I can't imagine anyone keeping these bulky parts around in their storerooms much.
Maybe if its like seat ibiza then more cars around, chances of locally available parts are there.

Maybe VAG relies on Regional Part Distribution Centre in Johor.

Between Hyundai & Kia, I would go for H. More straightforward deal, no smlj compulsory (lowball) trade in, no min long loan & muz take their insurance, etc

That's true.

Both times I bought from them I had a near-scrap car to trade in. Difficult to lowball any further. Lol

@t0y0ta Plastics have higher thermal expansion coefficient than metals. But metals have higher thermal conductivity than plastic.

so if same sized and shaped plastic and metal is subjected to a certain temperature, metal will expand faster than plastic. But once plastic reached same temperature as the metal (albeit in a longer duration), it will expand more.

Kia not as straightforward as hyundai maybe due to Kia is under C&C lo. But hearsay quality wise, Kia is better than hyundai.

Can is can but the 1.2L can take it or not?

C5 Aircross (same 1.2L) has a surprisingly big boot after folding the seats and can seat 5 (5 individual seats, not 4+1) with ease.

More powerful than jap 2.0NA

The French cars are pretty well thought out and designed

whether they last the full ten years and how many things will break down

Thinking about power...

Didnt realise power is so important for a family SUV. Isnt 2.5l more than sufficient in Singapore?

If you have 2 babies at the back, how fast do you want to drive on the NS highway anyway?😑

It’s not the velocity.. it’s the ability to accelerate out of trouble

Re the 5008

Nah... French cars look nice, very decent features but.. I'm looking for reliability and their engines don't inspire..

I have driven more than 1 year so far no issue

moreover has warranty for 5 yrs covered including battery

impressive spacious, good nvh as compared to jap car

drove to genting twice doesnt feel tired. Car can climb easily with 4 big adult and full boot

in NSHW soundproof is great and car feel great

definitely biggest and most spacious cat A 7 seater suv

buy cat A i save 30k coe

and despite 129 bhp, the car has 230nm, more than most jap na car.

hence i find no reason to buy cat B suv when power wise about 20-30bhp diff and torque about the same yet spend $30k more and doesnt have good nvh like 5008

i tested tarraco too but i personally find 5008 more comfy and better.

Not only accelerate out of trouble

u need to see the moose test whether the car can swerve out danger and avoid obstacle without losing control

Thats the old peugeot

the newer peugeot with 8 speed aisin gearbox and 1.2L pure tech engine much more reliable than prev 6speed gearbox and 1.6thp engine.

Somemore i notice my 5008 operate at lower temperature. As in when engine running after long drive u don’t feel hot standing beside the car.

i watched a video claimed that newer peugeot designed for tropical country and engine operate at lower temp reducing chance of parts breaking down

i don’t know whether the car can last 10 years but so far in peugeot group first 5 yrs owners doesnt face much issue esp the 1.2L engine

That’s nice to hear

I'm the sort who will drive for the whole ten years

i wonder if external workshops that deal with them are easy to find and spares are easily available

If you keep your cars long then get a more common model. Even the rarer models from ADs will lack parts. AD do not keep much parts these days. They order only when needed.
